Hey guys, i’ve been off tumblr for a while because of this. 3am on the 26th my mom heard a loud thud downstairs and when to see what it was, my dad’s heart had stopped and he had fallen onto the stairs. She was screaming and came into my room screaming(I didn’t hear the fall), I rushed downstairs, my father is gasping for air, eyes glazed over, and while I was calling 911 I had to turn him over on his back b/c she couldn’t (he’s like 250lbs). My mom was doing cpr. He lost his pulse and the look on his face is still haunting, the entire night was a mess. my brother came downstairs and started crying. emergency response finally arrived, and then managed to get his pulse back. 

The days since were crazy, my mom stayed every day and night in the ICU, I would go everyday and stay the nights, the times I didn’t stay in the ICU I would come home to take care of my little brother (pick him up from school, take him to school, help with homework, make sure he was eating, make sure he’s mentally somewhat okay etc) and my dog yoshi. They got his pulse back and ran many many tests and a lot of medicine over the next few days, but after 6 days in the ICU determined he was brain dead. He wouldn’t have wanted to stay that way, he even said that if something ever happened to him (He’s a firefighter, danger is an everyday thing) he wouldn’t want to stay that way. He passed last night, October 5th at 10:15pm and if you could help please do…

R.I.P. Barbara Park, author of the beloved “Junie B. Jones” books. Park has passed away at 66 after a long battle with ovarian cancer. With irreverent, slangy titles such as “Junie B. and that floored people and the psych went onto say that what she meant was that self esteem is a concept that actually includes a vast array of things and labelling them all as one thing is really limiting and prevents actual improvement

you could have real strong pride in the things you create and hate your body

you could hate your creations but also want to share them with people

you could not hate yourself at all but not take care of yourself, engage in reckless self endangerment

thats all bundled under ‘self esteem’ but saying ‘i need better self esteem’ doesn’t mean anything

whereas if you say ‘i need to work on ways to keeping myself safe, refusing to act on destructive urges’ or ‘i want to be in a place where i believe compliments trusted people give me’

thats concrete, thats a goal.
