DoubleNoot (name pending) - Turns out that Nightmare that the multiverse knew, was not just Nightmare. Instead it were two beings. Corrupt, the being everyone knew. and Nightmare. The same young skeleton from before he ate the apple that changed the course of the multiverse.

I do enjoy a good visual gag, and an old favorite of mine is “there is Math on a Board in the background that contextually makes no sense.” This broadly comes in 3 flavors I enjoy:
• the board is in front of a classroom, and the Math is waaay too advanced for whatever level of pupil these kids are supposed to be; like having the calculus integral in front of kindergartners, or relativistic physics in front of high schoolers.
• the board is in front of Criminals, who are Planning Something, and by all rights there ought to be no Math there to begin with. Like. You’re planning a Heist why do you have the Full Lagrangian on there. Are we taking a rocket to the bank.
• the characters are super-genius science fiction people. The Math is “Pi≈3.24” with an unlabeled pie chart.

Hear me out, Dream and Nightmare (especially Nightmare) being scared of worms, because, you see, the well known image of a worm in an apple, and their souls being apples...
It would be especially worse for Nightmare because after the corruption his soul would be black, goopy like him, looking rotten, the perfect place for a worm... imagine him getting panic attacks because his soul beat a bit wrong and what if it is because of a worm ? His chest is a bit itchy, what if a worm is there ? Imagine him frantically checking his soul, asking his gang to check for him in case he missed it, imagine him not going out when it's raining because that's when the worms are out, imagine him not wanting to approach any piece of food that started to go bad because there's a risk that there is a worm
Dream would feel uneasy around worms too because of the association with the image, but his soul his healthy and strong, while Nightmare's soul would be perfect for a worm (in his mind, as realistically no worm could ever survive in any of their soul as it is, well, a soul, and not an actual fruit)
He is just terrified of worms, and it doesn't help that he probably used to get bullied and thrown worms at him by kids so it would also bring back bad memories, and also, what if he got a worm in his soul because of that ? He needs to check again
It is an endless cycle of thinking about it once, getting anxious, checking over and over again until he is sure that his soul is fine, calming down, then thinking about it again
if you told vin diesel fast and the furious you were gay he'd be like "Some people like driving stick…some people like driving automatic…what matters is you cross the finish line.." and then he'd rev up a dodge challenger and drive through a building and kill 16 people
If you asked if he was cool with trans people, he'd probably say "sometimes, aftermarket parts are the only way to get the vehicle you really want. Everyone should have the right to hot rod."
