assuming gender based on appearance: if you don’t know someone’s gender, don’t assume they are female and don’t refer to them as “she” just because they appear dfab or femme. don’t use gendered terms to refer to someone whose gender you do not know.

In Toronto, the Palestinian community organized to resist the infamous racist and violent Jewish Defense League after it attempted to intimidate the Palestinian community by declaring it would demonstrate at Palestinian community centre Palestine House.  The JDL is described by the Southern Poverty Law Centre as: “a radical organization that preaches a violent form of anti-Arab, Jewish nationalism. Its late founder, Rabbi Meir Kahane, claimed that Jews face fierce anti-Semitism domestically and abroad and mustprotect themselves by any means necessary.  The JDL’s position with regard to Israel is denial of any Palestinian claims to land and the calling for the removal of all Arabs from the “Jewish-inherited soil.” The group has orchestrated countless terrorist attacks in the US and abroad, and has engaged in intense harassment of foreign diplomats, Muslims, Jewish scholars and community leaders, and officials. “

Pride flags for some of the more so-called “unconventional” genders and sexualities. This is for the people who don’t always feel like they are welcome or a part of the LGBTQ+ community. We may not receive the recognition and representation we deserve, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t here. 

Ok, non voglio essere una di quelle persone con manie di vittimismo,ma cazzo, devo ripetermi su uno stesso argomento. Parte delle persone che conosco ha sempre “accettato” la mia bisessualità, e fin qui, nulla di rilevante. Ma nel momento in cui per strada trascino per mano un’amica e ripeto amica (etero e super fidanzata), mi viene detto da una di quelle persone tanto “aperte” :”si ok ma c’è un limite a tutto, le effusioni in pubblico no”. Cioè non ho capito, accettate la mia sessualità, ma un eventuale concretizzarsi di questa no? Cioè, io sarei “libera”di vivere una storia solo clandestinamente? Che cazzo significa?
