It is necessary to use and maintain ESD Workstation for it to provide a long effective life. Clean the ESD Work Surfaces periodically to prevent form layers which will impede the static dissipative properties. Use manufacturer recommended ESD Surface Cleaning Solvents only. Never use wax based and abrasive cleaners.  

Periodic testing of an ESD Workstation is also required to ensure it is meeting the requirements of ESD Standards and protecting the static sensitive objects without any deviation. Often ESD online monitors are used to ensure uninterrupted ESD protection.

ESD Apron is a protective shield to cover our daily wear clothes & control the static charges generated and very effective to drain the unnecessary static charges. ESD Aprons are made with a specially made fabric having a composition of lint free 98% polyester and 2% carbon fibers. Carbon fibers will be woven in a grid-link design throughout the fabric, effective and consistent in dissipation of charges. Surface Resistance of the fabric will be 1x10⁷ Ω for 80 washes. Wearing a good quality ESD Apron would demonstrate the commitment towards ESD Control Program. ESD Aprons are also known as ESD Lab Coats.

For better results in Static Protected Areas, Aprons should be worn as per the guidelines. Wear the ESD Apron and fasten the snap buttons avoiding exposure of daily wear clothes.
