An Intellectual Process

I can write the saddest poem of all tonight. I loved her, and sometimes she loved me too.

I could hear my heart beating. I could hear everyone’s heart. I could hear the human noise we sat there making, not one of us moving, not even when the room went dark.

Put your heart, mind, and soul into even your smallest acts. This is the secret of success.

Force yourself to take in beauty. Whether it’s of a slowly dipping sun, or a strangers smile, admire everything. Realize that the world is fucking beautiful. Just so that one day, you’ll look in the mirror, and realize that you’re beautiful too.

What is the point of being alive if you don’t at least try to do something remarkable?

I hope that in one of the parallel universes we ended up together. I hope I kiss you once you get up and before you go to sleep. I hope we have a dog and kids that we are raising as strong independent human beings. I hope in one of the universes I am lucky enough.

But I swear, you find the best things when you’re not looking for them.

You must go on adventures to find out where you really belong.

If I could have just one wish, I would wish to wake up everyday to the sound of your breath on my neck, the warmth of your lips on my cheek, the touch of your fingers on my skin, and the feel of your heart beating with mine… Knowing that I could never find that feeling with anyone other than you.

Holy shit. You are so beautiful. Beautiful. Fucking gorgeous. Like the stars all came together to birth you with supple lips and a warming smile. Like the rivers and oceans joined together and made your hair fall just so. Like every single tree in every fucking forest gazed at the sky, waiting to catch you in their branches. You are beyond the words in the dictionary. You are everything I need, and nothing I could ever put words to. Whenever I’m with you, I feel my body screaming, it needs you just like I do. The word beautiful doesn’t do you justice. Holy shit.

There’s nothing like deep breaths after laughing that hard. Nothing in the world like a sore stomach for the right reasons.

Sometimes, i pretend you love me.
