My local Kansas state representative seat is held by a sweet woman named Wanda Brownlee Paige, she's a retired teacher and is very cool. We elected her after our last democrat rep decided to be a turncoat and threw trans people under the bus.

But I digress, for the Republican primary we have Lisa Walker-Yeager a woman who shot a contractor in the back last year and is facing felony charges over it and Alex Sanchez who is a community college trustee, honestly not a bad dude, I think he will win his primary, due to his opponent having shot someone recently, but I don't think he has a chance of winning the district due to being a old white conservative guy in a district that is happy with it's representative and 80% minority.

I appreciate that seemingly overnight everyone has dug out their Wanda signs and put them out. I want one now, I wanna put it beside my "Vote No August 4th" one because "oh yeah they're trying to add a fucked up amendment to the Kansas constitution and putting the vote for it in the primary, so I have to be a Democrat for a day now" (I'm unaffiliated on principal, and Kansas has mostly closed primaries)
