40+ year old men who seriously believe the young girls working at stores and restaurants are actually flirting with them just because the girls smile and are friendly are the most disgusting and terrifying things on this planet.
i keep getting messages from men over the age of 40 who were upset by this post and iād like to sincerely thank them for proving my point so effortlessly.Ā

It was entertaining, but also annoying how much they were dancing around each other. Revealing tiny bits of information about each other and their motives, before pulling away and keeping the deeper parts hidden. It was tantalizing and she missed this. Damn, she missed this. But, now the more rational part of her brain decided to kick in and make her act less impulsively. She really did need to be careful. She was being incredibly stupid and if she wanted the game to continue, then she needed to be smart. So, taking a quiet, but deep breath; she refocused her efforts.
He was still trying to be friendly with her, so he must suspect that sheās after him in some way. He couldnāt know what exactly she was trying to do, but he was keeping his guard up. She knew that she wouldnāt be able to finish the game in one night. She would have to investigate the man further after she decided enough was enough for today. Proving his involvement would take a while and a lot of work. But, to be honest she was bored out of her mind and her mind needed the challenge. What would be the best way to respond to him? How could she subtly press his buttons?
In all reality, she knew that he would catch on to any kind of subtle approach she could possibly take. Otherwise, she would have proven that he was responsible by now. That or she was really out of practice, which may have been more likely. She had been inactive in the field for a few years. She considered the next few things he said. āMost people are petty about stupid things. People do whatever cruel thing they can think of to get what they want. Human nature sucks ass. And I doubt it was the landlord, yea heās a jackass, but heās actually in jail right now.ā She stated, with a shrug before adding some more. āI was in a bar fight earlier today, the guyās a dumbass. He was drunk and started a fight over something stupid. I only found that out from a lady in the crowd who enjoys a lot of gossip and a free apartment. You can learn a lot from crowds, people talk.ā She concluded.
It wasnāt a lie, earlier she had chatted with several people in the crowd, learning everything she could. The best information can come from the most unlikely places, people are unlikely. Humans were cruel, but interesting at times. She did find herself chuckling at what he said about crime shows being his source of info. If he wasnāt a suspect in her eyes, then she could maybe see them being friends, but oh well. His next words made her raise an eyebrow. That was fascinating.
āI pay attention to the details. Tiny details mostly, theyāre always the most important ones. One small detail can change everything.ā She replied curtly. It really was too bad that he wasnāt a better person. They could have had lots of debates about these kinds of things. A slight shiver rolled down her spine from the wind. There may have been a blazing fire nearby, but the wind was wicked. Huffing a little, she pulled her hands out of her pockets to zip her jacket up. Her blood had seeped through her feeble bandage already, but it was dry at least. She quickly shoved her hands back into her pockets to keep them warm, stupid cold.
She found herself chuckling at his last question. āHonestly? Boredom. Pure, boredom. My mind needed something to do. But why are you interested in why Iām interested in this? All I know is that the owner didnāt do it, but I did see one interesting person in the crowd. He had a look of pure glee on his face while he watched the flames. I think I lost him, but thatās why my first guess was an arsonist.ā She finished her explanation calmly, keeping her guard up. This could set him off and she needed to be ready. He could try to attack her or try something more subtle. So she kept a good distance between them both.
Crowley didnāt try to press when the woman went quiet to rearrange her thoughts before answering him. He could be patient, from time to time, and besides he had the certainty that the game would have ended as soon as he had decided that he was done with it. Whatever she might say or try, he would have been in control and nothing could have changed that. After all, as smart and experienced she could be, she was only human. He, instead, was a spawn of Hell, with powers she couldnāt even start to imagine at his disposal.
āIāve always thought that humans can produced as much as great evil as they can do great good,ā he commented with a light shrug, when the woman finally spoke again. He had to admit that he liked hearing someone recognising the true nature of mankind, without trying to sugar it up. Her point of view was perhaps a bit pessimistic, but she was disillusioned and that was something the Serpent could appreciate. āBetween the two of us, though, I also think that they more easily take the way of evil. Itās moreā¦tempting you can say. Even if a dear friend of mine would totally disagree with me on this.ā
It was his turn to lift an eyebrow when the woman informed him of the landlordās alibi. That detail had escaped him, which wasnāt too bad because the fire couldnāt have been traced back to him anyway, but it was still irritating because it showed a lack of attention from his part. As for the brawl his stalker had supposedly got into a few hours before, it explain why he could smell the scent of blood coming from her. She was wounded and she hadnāt taken proper care of her injury yet. Now, that would have definitely been a disadvantage, had she found herself caught in a fight.
āPeople always find so much fun to talk about other dirty business, but then they get offended if someone spreads their own around. How hypocritical is that? A lot, if you ask me,ā he huffed out, rolling his eyes behind his sunglasses. āBut agree about what you said about details. At times, they are everything.ā He was ready to bet that it had been for some small action that she had noticed him in the first place. āAfter all, thereās a reason why they say that the Devil is in details, donāt you agree?ā
The real extent of the pun would have probably been lost to her, but the demon allowed himself a moment of hilarity in the privacy of his mind. That was a good one, he had to give it to himself. His eyes followed her movements, as she adjusted her clothes to shield herself from the cold and he was thankful to have been thoughtful enough to grab a scarf that morning, before leaving his flat. Winter was coming and, while he could use his powers to protect himself from the dropping temperatures, he couldnāt say that it was his favourite season. Especially since soon enough he would have to deal with all that Christmas crap.
Her next words snapped him out of his thoughts and they were clearly a provocation, even if not a direct one. Had he been exactly what she thought he was, a human arsonist, he would have definitely reacted to it. That kind of criminals were volatile, not too good at humans interactions, and they were impulsive. While Crowley wasnāt exactly the best at controlling his emotions at times, he was too smart to fall for such a trap that was hardly tailored for the kind of creature he was.
āI just think that itās curious to see someone as young as you interesting in such macabre things, thatās all,ā he answered in a casual tone, sinking a hand in his pocket to pull out his phone. āAnd good luck finding your man then. Even if, as you surely know, you better be careful. That kind of people have the nasty tendency to snap.ā
His lips pursed as he took a look at the time and then he put his mobile away once again. āSorry to interrupt this conversation, but I really must go now. I have a dinner date and I hate being late,ā he resumed with a well practiced smile. It wasnāt a lie. He and Aziraphale were eating out that evening, but before he had a few other things to take care of. āMy companion can become quiteā¦ah, impatient when I miss our appointments.ā
Maria had to be honest, she was growing a little tired of this game. Only because she knew that he was a difficult one to crack. She had been hoping to deal with someone who would crack a little easier. She would have to work at him for a while. However, she did find herself smiling when he too agreed with her when she explained human nature. That was nice to hear. Her eyebrow raised itself when he spoke again. That was interesting. "Course they do, it's more easy to do that. Being good requires you to fight human nature, which isn't easy." She added on. She did make a mental note that he had mentioned someone that would disagree with him, he must have a friend. She could use that. Her lip twitched when she felt a sting of pain in her hand from her wound. It hadn't been bothering her before, she found herself groaning in her mind at the annoyance. She would clean it when she got home.
Her attention was brought back to the man when he said something again and she couldn't stop herself from chuckling at it. He wasn't wrong, most people were little shits. "Yea, I couldn't agree more with that. Most people have been hypocritical at least once in their lives." She replied. It really was a shame that he was her suspect. He agreed on so many things that she did as well. It wasn't like she was able to keep any friendships anyway, so she tried to convince herself that this was for the better. She snapped out of her thoughts when he said a pun to her. She didn't take him for a pun sort of guy. The pun felt like it had a hidden meaning and she found herself wishing that she understood it.
Maria let herself do a short victory dance, in her mind that is, when she saw a reaction from her provocation. It wasn't a huge reaction, mind you, but a reaction nonetheless. He had only seemed to become more aware when she had spoke. Her eyebrow raised a bit at his next words. She found it a little funny that he called her 'young' she didn't feel that young. She felt much older than she really was. "Everyone has something that appeals to them. And I'm sure I'll be fine, I've fought worse." She answered with a small shrug and a chuckle. If only he knew what she meant by 'worse'.
At his next words, she found her mental note from earlier come back to her. So, he did have a friend, one that possibly wasn't only a friend. She would have to look into both of them. "That's all right. I can understand that. But that does remind me, we've been talking all this time and I never got your name?" She replied, ending with a dangling question, hoping that he would give her his name. She had a lot of work to do. But if she was lucky, and other people had noticed how odd this man was, then they most likely would have written something about it online. Random blogs and such would become her friend.
Kisses I want to write about:
Goodbye kisses: Lingering and hard for longer times apart. Ones that curve Aās body against Bās and cause hands to splay against backs. Or short pecks, maybe not even completely on the mouth for short trips to the grocery store. Hello kisses: After long periods apart, these can include A picking up B and spinning them around. Fingers pressing into cheeks, palms cupping necks, and breathless laughs when they finally come up for air. Breathless kisses: A series of short pecks because they need the closeness but they also need air, so. Sometimes smiles come in between, or sometimes its just breath, gasping for the sole purpose of being able to kiss again. Heated kisses: Breath huffing into mouths, angrily or passionately. Hands grabbing at clothing and pulling each other closer. First kisses: Hesitant and nervous. Lips hover inches from each other for a few seconds before they just barely brush. Itās just a soft press, but it ignites their entire bodies. Pinkies link afterwards, still wanting to be close, and each looks down, smiling softly. After sex kisses: Lazy, slow presses. Limbs pressed together, chests heaving. Soft murmurs about what to do for dinner later, fingers trailing down backs, tracing lazy patterns. B rolling onto their back and A trailing their lips down their neck, kissing their shoulder, their chest, anywhere they can think of, memorizing B. Morning kisses: Barely awake kisses that usually end up on jaws or cheeks because A is too tired to land it properly. B makes a sleepy sound and rolls into A, nuzzling their face into their neck, ankles hooking together, while A drapes their arms around B and they fall back asleep for a while. Post-break up kisses: Soft and slow. Hands on each otherās arms in a way that neither can tell if the other is pushing away or pulling closer. The kiss ends with their foreheads pressed together, neither wanting it to be true that this is happening. Christmas kisses: More smile than actual kiss. A holds mistletoe above their heads while B rolls their eyes, but pulls A down by the collar of their ugly Christmas sweater for a heated kiss. A takes B by the waist and walks forward until they are around the corner, away from the prying eyes and hoots of the rest of their friends and family. Comforting kisses: B walks into find A sitting on the bed, shoulders shaking, cheeks wet. A looks up, face looking stricken for a moment. B is shocked, and quietly says Aās name. At this, A breaks, face crumpling, and only barely has time to reach both hands out for B before B is there, kneeling at Aās feet. B takes Aās hands first, kissing their knuckles and palms. Then B reaches up to hold Aās face, pressing soft kisses around their cheeks, their lips, murmuring āitās okayā and āyouāre alrightā and āIām hereā in between. āI thought I lost youā kisses: The breath is knocked out of both of them with the force that they collide with. Hands grip the back of t-shirts and palms are pressed up and under shirts, holding them close, feeling the warmth of their skin. Palms are pressed to cheeks, thumbs swiping away tears until their mouths collide messily, the world seeming to disappear around them. āWe canāt do thisā kisses: Fists clenched, hands shoved into pockets. Brows low or brought together, jaws clenched. A feeling like a magnetic pull between them. Their foreheads press together, their lips brush, just barely, until B pulls away with a shaking exhale, forehead dropping into Aās neck. āCome to bedā kisses: A has their hands on Bās neck, murmuring the phrase softly. Aās hands slide down Bās arms to their hands, lacing their fingers together and slowly starting to pull B towards their bedroom. A continues to pepper B with kisses all the while, trailing them down their jaw and neck. āYou look beautifulā kisses: Just a soft press of lips to the temple, resting them there for a moment, then smiling down and telling them as much. āIāll be right backā kisses: A puts their hands on Bās shoulders from behind them, where they are sat on the couch. He leans down and around, while B turns his head a little, accepting the quick peck. āI missed youā kisses: Long and relentless, holding their body close, arms wrapped completely around their waist. A burying their head in Bās neck and pressing kisses there too. Angry kisses: Hard, gripping. Fists in clothes, shoving each other against walls. Fingers digging into hips. But the kisses always melt away from that. They turn into brushes of lips between shaking breaths, until theyāre out of energy and are left just standing there, holding each other, fingers carding through hair. Sad kisses: Almost not a kiss at all. Just holding onto each other tightly, Aās lips pressed to Bās temple, whispering soft words, desperately trying to provide whatever comfort they can. In the dark kisses: The movie plays in the background, but A and B are hardly paying attention from the back row. They kiss soundlessly, long and soft, fingers locked. Aās arm is thrown behind Bās seat, wrist bent to curl their fingers into Bās hair. Dying kisses: A holds B in their arms, panicked, crying. Murmurs of āno, no, no.ā Salt on their lips from tears. Voice cracking. Holding on tightly to their shirt, their shoulder, their hand, roughly pulling them against their body, anything to try and keep them tethered to this earth. Kissing them as they die (āno. No, stay awakeāā), Kissing them once more even with the life has left their body (No. God, come back. Please, come back. Please, look at me, Iām right hereā).

an-emergency-roleplayerā: > Maria <
Maria found herself arching an eyebrow at the manās surprise from her tapping him. Slowly, she put her outstretched hand back into her pocket and backed up a little to give him some more space. He may be a suspect in her mind, but she wouldnāt make him uncomfortable. Before she could even stop herself, Maria found herself already trying to read him. It was simply second nature for her to read anyone she came into contact with, especially people who raised her suspicions. However, she would admit that it was harder to read the man when he was wearing those sunglasses. The eyes gave away a lot, but she would have to make do with observing other movements and quirks of his.
After hearing him respond to her and seeing how he acted, he feltā¦odd. Something about the way he was responding just seemed too normal and a bit forced. He was smart, he didnāt seem to be falling for her praise traps. He was acting just like she was, creating a false face and using small talk to secretly observe the other and figure out their intentions. But honestly, based on the look on his face from before, he was not a good person. Now she simply had to figure out whether he was responsible or not, easier said than done.
Yes, she would admit it to herself only; she really missed this part of the job. The part that let her use her skills to read a person and profile them. The part where she got to lure people out using their pride and anger against them, it was exhilarating. She hadnāt been doing much of anything these days, just helping people wherever she could, which now included this āaccidentā. But this was the first time that she was able to analyze someone. Most of her other deeds consisted of beating up jackasses who were hurting people, helping a few lost kids, and whatnot. That actually reminded her, she still needed to properly bandage her hand that she had kept hidden in her pocket. There had been a nasty fight right before the fire. Some guy had cut her hand up badly, she had won though, the guy was a dumbass. At the time, she had just wrapped several layers of toilet paper around her hand and then taped the loose ends together. She had had worse to work before, so this was nothing.
During her thinking, she was still listening to the man, keeping up the disguise of looking sad about the tragedy. Well, she was sad about it, but if she was able to, she would be giving the man a hard glare. She knew that he wasnāt innocent. However, her ears perked up at the last sentence he said. That was it, he was trying to lead her away from thinking it was an accident. She could feel her lips twitch, just barely at the realization. But she remained calm, even if all she wanted to do was grin at his slip up. See, this is where she would often make someone squirm, as they slowly realized that they made a mistake.
Getting into her character a bit more, she gave the man a response with a small shrug. āWell, if Iām being honest with you, I donāt think this was a message. I never really said it was anyway. If you wanna send a message you burn something more important. Not this old building, whoās owner, from the rumors Iāve heard, wasnāt treating the tenants right.ā This is where she would subtly indicate that someone was responsible and she knew it. This was the fun part. She was well aware how her eagerness about this part of the job had seemed like arrogance to her superiors, but it really wasnāt, she knew that she wasnāt the best in this field. She simply enjoyed using her knowledge and skills to catch a suspect. There was some kind of satisfaction about being in a battle of wits with someone and finding a mistake to use against the other.
But she was expecting him to counter her well, he was clever and smart, she needed to be careful and play this well. But a small part of her wanted so badly to be a little reckless for once, Lord knows she never let herself be reckless. That is how she found her tongue slipping out her next words, by being too reckless and possibly over eager to have the man recognize that she knew. āThis feels more like it was caused by some kind of arsonist who wanted some fun. But who knows? Arsonists are pretty easy to spot, you can always see it on their faces and,ā She paused her response by looking back at the crowd before continuing, āI didnāt see anyone in the crowd that gave that away. Maybe they already left?ā She finished as she kept a steady gaze on him. Her fists were already clenching in her pockets, but it was hardly noticeable. Faintly, she realized that she was acting like this because her mind had been idle for far too long. She hadnāt done anything like this in years and didnāt have anyone to do this with. But the man would never know this, she would probably just come across as arrogant, as per usual.
Crowley almost rolled his eyes when the woman didnāt seem content with his replies. Of course, it would have just been too easy if a couple of words would have been enough to send her away, but that didnāt mean that he couldnāt get annoyed with her perseverance. It was such a human trait, the stubbornness of sticking your nose in othersās business. Determination was definitely a valuable quality, and he could be very hard-headed himself, but this need to get in someone elseās way, at all costs, and for what? Some sort of moral imperative? That was ridiculous. And beyond infuriating, if you were a busy demon like he was.
āThatās exactly what I was thinking!ā He still claimed, not dropping his friendly but detached facade. Showing hostility towards the kind of person he thought the woman he was facing was would have just push them to persist in being a nuisance. Better playing along, at least a little bit. If she turned out to be too hard to satisfy, he would have simply told her that he had another pressing engagement waiting for him, which was actually the truth. After all, she couldnāt have prevented him from leaving, since she had no authority over him. She might have tried to follow him, but that wasnāt a problem. He had powers that made it extremely easy for him to disappear.
āA building of no importance at all. So, if thereās a message, it must be somethingā¦petty,ā he went on with a shrug. āIf that landlord you mentioned was so bad, maybe someone decided that they were done with his crap and rather stay in the streets that keep on paying the rent. Or the landlord himself decided to get, ah, creative in forcing his tenants to find another place to live in.ā It wouldnāt have been the first time that someone of the sort happened. Everyone had a lot to say about demonsā depravation and Hell, but the truth was that the worst crimes were born from the human mind. āI heard that someone is interested in requalifying the neighbourhood and such an old, squalid building surely wouldnāt have fitted.ā
He shook his head, letting out what sounded like a resigned sigh, but his eyes stayed sharp, hidden behind his sunglasses. They even shone, dangerously, as the woman brought forward her hypothesis of the tragedy being the work of an arsonist. She was wrong again, of course, because Crowley wouldnāt have called himself such, even if he did enjoy watching things, and sometimes people, burn. An arsonist started their fire for the sake of it, for fun as she had rightly said, he always had a second, more important aim behind his projects than his personal amusement. Namely, to spread chaos and win over souls that would have ended up straight past Hellās open gates. It was almost offensive, to be compared to some random human with mental issues.
āYou donāt say? Personally, I wouldnāt know. My only source of information when it comes to this sort of things is crime shows and I doubt that they are accurate enough,ā he offered, following his words with a short laugh. Crime shows and a lot of personal experience. Not to mention a natural inclination towards doing Evil. However, the woman didnāt need to know that, or he would have been forced to kill her. Or he could have just wiped her memory, but that wouldnāt have been satisfying at all after she had been such a pain in his neck.
āYou insteadā¦You seem to know a lot about it.ā His voice coloured with a hint of curiosity. She could keep on trying to make him slip, but two could play that game. Her act was already far too telling, but he wanted the details, not just the general knowledge of what she was trying to do. He wanted to know why she was so stubborn about getting involved and maybe even how she was thinking about proceeding. Of course, she wouldnāt have told him that, not openly, but he could have taken an educated guess, once he had learnt of where her knowledge came from. āHow so? Some sort of morbid curiosity? Or a professional one maybe?ā
I may be more active on Sundays now and participate in Sinday stuff. I'm honestly just bored way to often.
Ok so, I've been a little inactive. I'm really sorry about that, but starting Monday I'll be active again. I'll send replies and work on some pages for some new muses I've been wanting to make.
My new muses will include:
Aziraphale (Good Omens)
Crowley (Good Omens)
Dr. Martin Whitly/The Surgeon (Prodigal Son)
Possibly Lucifer (Lucifer show)
Possibly the Tenth Doctor (Doctor Who)
And more OC muses
I will also start working on my verses page too, but that will take a while.

RPC, I know this seems to escape people butā¦
Respect your rp partners who are fast. Donāt shame them. Itās not a bad thing that they are excited about your reply or have a method.Ā Making them feel guilty is wrong.Ā Donāt fault people who want to reply to you.Ā It doesnāt mean that people who are fast, do not have a life.Ā Some people just are most comfortable being quick and are excited.Ā There is nothing wrong with being fast.
Respect your rp partners who are slow. Some people just have a longer process, ponder things longer, and genuinely are just busier. Some people just prefer to have a longer queue, take longer. It doesnāt mean theyāre not excited.Ā Ā Ā There is nothing wrong with being slow.Ā
Basically, respect your RP Partner.
