The Augmented Web, great example of what can be done now with Augmented RealityÂ
My thought of the day, in the competitive landscape faced by even the most successful of firms, its not enough to simply have an efficient value chain that delivers a product in both a cheap and timely fashion. Â Consumers do not work in chains, they gather experiences use services and products via a network of firms. Â In order to service the consumer properly there should be a switch from a value chain perspective to the creation of value creating networks to increase the mutual value proposition for both enterprises and consumers. Â
A bank for example could create linkages with insurance firms and retailers to give the customer a single unified experience. Â Someone wants to buy a house, they need to get a loan, they also need insurance and white goods for the house. Â Transactional models can be made for moving a customer on along the value network while making the consumers life both easier and more efficient Â
