the evergirls in my au :^ i decided to post them first because they're the characters i've changed the most.

AND IM GOING TO EXPLAIN WHY (briefly, element of mystery yk)

starting off with the evergirl ive changed sm she's practically crossing the line of fanon and oc.

being the princess from one the big 4 kingdoms (ill elaborate more on that in a diff post), Reena will be a major character. because of plot, and because i barely see any fics that have her in center. so she will have her own conflict (which will mostly revolve around politics, specifically the position of power she holds as a woman in a society wherein her achievements and ideas are being preceeed by the patriarchal---YES IM GIVING HER THE FEMINISM PLOT. AND NO IT WON'T JUST BE "i dont wanna get married"/"i hate dresses" (even though those plots could be good when done right. they're just not what her arc will be about), as it will focus on her climb to asserting a respectable light in a court that has tried to silence and even erase her existence.

she is like, really close friends with Ravan. why? idk i think as fandom we all used to agree they would be and it stuck with me. mlm/wlw solidarity if anything.

she has wolves. with an s, multiple of them. because i said so and it plays a lot into how ive written her character.

out of all the evergirls, she has public speaking/leadership down to a T. Agatha will still be given her inspirational monologue-ing skilss, but in a more regal manner, Reena is in a league of her own. she is THE leader material. (if only the shazabah court could accept that, but alas.)

Beatrix being a perfectionist but being so in love with chemistry (or i think alchemy is the better term), that she just loses all sense of safety in the name of magical science. yes, that is what she is to me

i love the idea of her being the eldest of many girls (inspired from pumpkinpaperweight). her mother works as an architect due to a scandal involving her father that led to...distasteful family issues. Let's just say grandmama was not thrilled and has therefore cut a few ties as 'punishment'. Beatrix secretly knows and that was why she was so hellbent on being the best at good and marrying well. Her arc is also semi-major and will revolve around her struggles with conformity and freedom. Her and Reena's arcs are two sides of the same coin. Even tho Bea has stepped away from the perfect lifestyle she had always worked hard for, she is hesistant on letting other do the same. because she knows that the path is dangerous and terrifying and sometimes even she regrets it. so she still encourages her friends to do their best, marry well, yada-yada she's working through a lot internally guys.

her love for the magical science (still have no name for it bear w me) is unparalled. Anemone has taken her as an apprentice, but the professor often second guesses her choices due to Bea's lack of safety importance. she especially loves healing magic and discovering new ways to help people heal other than direct magic or the natural way. She is not afraid to hurt people though. "im a healer but--"

she's friends with the coven for completely different reasons per witch. she's like an honorary member alongside Agatha atp.

Kiko plays a pretty minor role until we reach QFG, but i still gave her a few changes.

she is half mermaid due to her father being mer-folk. but because of that heritage, kiko suffers insanely with her identity and background. human kids were only ever friends with her because of her ability to turn into a mermaid (she knows they meant no harm by it, but they never bothered to know her past that ability and often treated her as a spectacle and nothing more. most of them didnt even know her name), and her mermaid peers shunned her for having a weaker connection with the ocean, which, to a girl like kiko, was like being told that part of who you were was invalid or shameful to live with.

she hangs out a lot by the lake and swims there whenever she wakes up early enough so nobody sees. the only person who knew was yara.

kiko always tries her hardest in classes that had anything to do with water to 'strengthen' her connection with the ocean (bb, the ocean still sees you as her daughter pls stop listening to the haters)

millicent, my absolute girl failure. you have the highest of dreams but the lowest of grades om

in my rewrite, she loves astronomy. she loves the stars. girl spends hours tucked away in the school observatory when she's supposed to be studying for exams. she has practically learned most of the constellations but almost none of her coursework.

millie is, in my heart, a very dear friend to both nicholas and yara (my poor baby why would i write this). and in their deaths, she found solace in seeing their souls in the stars. so she decided to just do what makes her happy, and that is to continue drawing maps of the night sky. she still graduates, but she knows she won't leave in her human body. she accepts it, who wants to stay human anyways? for all she's expereienced, it hurts to be human.
