"Don't get up, I'll do it"

"Where the fuck is Petra?" Levi walked into the small room which contained 4 members of his squad, not the usual 5 that should be there.
"We haven't seen her this morning, knocked on her door but she didn't reply, she was pretty shattered last night, could've overslept." Gunther replied, rubbing the back of his neck at the scary look the Captain was giving them.
Levi turned without saying anything and walked out of the room and down the hall towards Petra's room.
The Captain knocked on her door. "Oi, Petra." He said a little louder than usual, who knows how much it would take to wake her up.
The only reply was a groan from inside the room, making him fetch the keys that Erwin had which unlocked each door, he stuck the key into the key hole and twisted it before opening the oak door, wondering what he would actually find, it was very unlike Petra to not be the first person in the squad room, unheard of for her not to show up at all.
On the bed was a wrapped up Petra who was sweating and shivering, her eyes closed and her eyebrows furrowed.
"Petra." He walked over to the bed and put his hand on her head before sighing.
"Mm..Captain?" Petra slowly opened her eyes and then immediately shut them after the harsh sunlight came in through the window.
"Tch..You've caught something." He held his hand to her forehead, she was hot to the touch.
"I overslept didn't I..? Sorry Captain, won't happen again." She rubbed her tired eyes and began to sit up, looking a little wobbly.
"Lie down." He gently pushed her back down and got a washcloth, drenching it in cold water and then ringing it out before putting it on Petra's sweat covered forehead, hoping it would bring her body temperature down a bit.
"Eld, go and get one of the doctors from medical." Levi said, turning towards the man to speak before quickly tending to the shivering Petra.
"It's cold.. " She muttered, pulling the blankets around herself more and coughing against them.
"You might feel cold but you're on fire." Levi looked at her with sympathy, being ill was the worst thing, he was obsessed with cleanliness and whenever he got ill it would be difficult to think about anything other than the germs all around him, inside of him, it made him shiver just thinking about that shit. That reminded him, he should probably get one of his makeshift cleaning masks.
When the doctor got there Levi was kitted out, he wasn't planning on getting ill along with Petra, it would be a disaster. The doctor put her bag down, getting her thermometer, checking what Petra's temperature was, feeling around Petra's chest with the stethoscope, all of the nessacery things for a checkup.
"Seems that Petra has a case of the flu, it's been going around recently." She explained while searching through the bag for medicine to treat Petra.
"She'll be fine again soon, right?" Levi asked, earning a nod from the woman.
"Give it a few days, make sure she takes this, drinks enough water and gets a lot of rest, she'll need it all to fight off the virus - though try not to worry, she's healthy and this isn't too severe, it'll clear up." She smiled warmly at him, putting the bottle into his hands."
"She needs to have 2 spoonfuls of this a day."
"Of course, thanks for the help."
The doctor left the room and the special operations squad all flew to the door.
"Captain one of us can look after her."
"Will she get better soon?"
Levi put his hand up and shook his head. "Eld, take over training today, I'll look after her, and she'll be fine in a few days."
"Yes sir." Eld replied and then looked at Petra with pity who looked uncomfortable, fussing because of the way her temperature kept changing.
"It's a case of the flu, though luckily Petra is healthy and will be able to pull through it with the medicine from the doctor."
"Yes, if you need any help sir just come get us!" Eren hit his hand against his chest, saluting with a determined expression.
"Tch, go on you lot, I know how to take care of someone." Levi waved his hand and got a glass of water for her to take the tablet with.
Once the squad were gone, Levi handed her the spoon that had the medicine on.
"Take this, then another dose later, I'll remind you."
Petra hummed tiredly, doing what he said and gulping down the not so nice tasting medicine.
"Now..Captain..I really..need to get up." She said while attempting to get up again, every few momemts a cough racking from her body.
"I need to..make yours, and the other guys tea..I always do it." She ran a hand through her messy hair and went to hold onto Levi to try to get up.
"Don't get up, I'll do it, the tea might help your throat and cough."
It seemed Petra was too tired to argue, she simply slipped back down into the covers, holding her hand against the cloth that was keeping her forehead cold.
After around 10 minutes Levi returned with 2 cups of tea, he carefully put them both down and then dunked the cloth back in the water to keep Petra cool.
He had made himself his usual black tea, but had made some ginger tea for Petra which should help soothe her throat and make her feel better in general.
"Here, drink some of this, just be careful, it's still hot." He motioned to the cup on the bedside table and watched as she took a few sips of the hot liquid before sighing contentedly, the drink making her agitated throat feel better.
"Now get some sleep alright? We need you to get better soon.. And..I hate seeing you ill." He put his hand on her head and ruffled her already messy hair, only getting a tired nod and smile from her. While Petra began drifting off, Levi decided to put himself to good use and quietly clean her room, knowing she wouldn't be able to do it while she was in this state, and he was not going to let her room become a pigsty.
Levi knew it probably seemed strange to the squad that he jumped at the opportunity to look after her, yet there was just a little feeling in his chest whenever he looked at her, he felt like he had to do this, he actually wanted to, and he knew the spiral he was falling down into. The promise he made himself to not get close to someone again was broken, but.. was that such a bad thing?
