It's not bad for her, of course she found acceptance in her community, she wouldn't be fighting so hard to keep it alive otherwise, but there's just some tools they can't give her to be able to navigate the world as an omen. Misbegotten neighbours taught her how to sew clothes for her peculiar legs, but they cannot teach her how to comb through the horns on her head or how to care for it, they don't know how to deal with the recurring nightmares that come with being an omen. She found connections there, but still felt isolated all the same. The only instances where she saw other omens was confined to the books, and that always had a layer of bias an outsider looking in would.

Most of my headcanons for Rogier's problems are parallel with Magdalena's, with the difference between them being their upbringing based on their economic class. It's why he doesn't like her much and vice versa because both are experienced in lying and manipulation to know what the other is doing, it's why she doesn't like it when Rogier hangs out with Mari, because she already has to deal with one snake (her), dealing with another is too much.
