I said there that I found 7 out of 8 of the recent limited edition. But today I found the last one, with a snorkel. Another collection is complete! π
If anyone wants, I can show you my whole album, let me know.
With the increase in interest in radio collars and bird bands, I would like to bring to light one creator who makes such a thing that are wearable for nonhuman identifying people. : Bird Brain Leatherwork. Additionally, the business is independent and queer owned, run by a single artist and leatherworker. Her items are handmade, and by their appearance, look sturdy and well made.
These items are made with the BDSM/kink, petplay, furry, and therian communities in mind. She makes a variety of leather items such as collars and cuffs (as well as other items such as patches and LARP gear), but the following are items which specifically fit the topic of radio collars and bird bands.
Tracker Wild Critter Collar
A collar designed to give the appearance of a wildlife monitoring collar. Customizable and able to include species and ID numbers. Also includes a pocket for a GPS tracker, so your handler or researcher can keep track of you.
The Bird Band Wild Critter Cuff
Reminiscent of wildlife birdbands used for ecological research and monitoring. (Or bands used on "domesticated"/pet bird species as well.) Much like the Tracker collar, the Bird Band cuff also includes a pocket for a GPS tracker.
The Falconer Wild Bird Anklets
These cuffs are meant to resemble the anklets placed on falconry birds, with a large eyelet for proper jess (or other rope) connections.
Ear Tag Wild Critter Tag
An ear tag like those used in ecological research or ranch identification, able to be customized with your own words and symbols. Also includes a pocket for a GPS tracker, and different mounting options for small ears or fursuits. (There are other creators who have made similar Ear Tag style gear using lighter materials that may be easier to wear, if wearing the tag in the physical ear is important to the individual.)
I started collecting them in 2021. Regulars, limited editions. I once even ordered capri-suns from abroad (the American glowing moon edition), it was very expensive. Right now I have 103 of the regular 200ml, 6 of American Moons and 6 of 330 ml, 115 total!
If shipping wasn't that expensive, I'd ask the whole world to send me their pretty empty capri-suns in an envelope.
I cut the fronts of capri-suns and keep them in an album like it's photographs. With new ones I try not to pierce the white circle so the front side stays pretty. There are old designs saved there, the ones that aren't for sale nowadays. Preservation. Of history. I saved them..!
For example I have older design of mystic dragon, also their redesigns, also their NEW redesigns with a colored stripe. I have two Orange packages in English and in German, though the art is Identical (but one is the lighter print). But the languages are different :}
Old and new fairy drink, old and new monster alarm, lots of safary fruit variations (including in Turkish!!), jungle drink, ice tea, tropical, fruit crush, uncommon design of a LEMON taste, blackcurrant and apple (those in Italics are no longer on shop shelves! I saved them..!) If a package differs in design even by a little note like these two (one with German text and green oval on the left and this one in English and with a colored stripe) - they are both in my collection.
I love limited editions! I got some of the Animal edition, two from old Sports (?) edition, all but one from Pets edition, all from Filter edition (and I had to beg an online seller to send me the last one, without that I'd never finished the edition..!), all from newer Sports edition, all from Superpower edition, and all but one from the American Moon punch edition.
Right now there's a new Island limited edition (and I hunt for it - I have 7 out of 8, and still hunting) they were only made on 25th of June, there's still time.
You could draw a marten or a stoat on top of a mountain of european capri-suns and I'll cherish this art for the rest of my life. I'll print it out in a bunch of copies and cover my walls with it like a tiled desktop wallpaper.

Go now, Selkie-boy, swim from the shore,
Rinse your ears clean of human chatter,
Empty your bones of heather and moor,
Your skull of its human matter.
Selkie-boy, Selkie-boy, come join your kin,
Eager your kind are to meet you,
As salt sets its seal on your silky skin,
Let green sea rise up to greet you.
Hear us and hasten, O sweet Selkie-boy,
High are our voices lifted in song,
Offering welcome, keening our joy,
Drawing you down to where you belong.
If no marten is here, I choose the squirrel potion (though squirrels are prey, confusing yes, but it would be interesting to see the world from their POV, and we're both arboreal, so a big plus!)
The second close option would be the otter one (a fellow mustelid! but water isn't my element and here it is important)
And these little logos on their bottles! Nice detail!
Since when European pine marten became Nilgiri marten?
It actually looks like this:
I hate when they don't double check.
Edit: I just thought and... actually... this someone else's mistake may be somewhat true. Personally. I once got a Nilgiri marten flicker type, so yes, this - clearly a European pine marten - once was a Nilgiri marten too.

By Natalia Diachenko-Kytaihora for the book called "Run Forest, run" by Yana Khomenko
The stoat is called Forest not because of the place they live in, but because his mom was inspired by the character from the iconic movie that always runs, thinking it's fitting for her baby stoat, though with a one R letter because the local secretary missed the second letter. It's such a cute children story book :D I own it only because of their stoats of course, there are too few books about good weasels π
[Commissioned by @wannabedemonlord, from the Iberian creature collection. The mythological version is a hybrid of a cat and a marten, which blinds and kills its marten mother upon being born. My version has a little of this flavor, but makes them its own creature. Theyβre also less explicitly misogynistic than the original, which is said to help men and attack women on sight.]
Monuca
CR 4 CE Magical Beast
This creature resembles a cross between a cat and a weasel, but is larger than both. It is garishly colored, with a white head, purple tail, and bands of red, blue and black along its body. Its eyes glitter like gemstones.
A monuca is a cruel and fickle creature that manipulates the strands of fate in order to aid its hunting and grant itself sick amusement. Although they are intelligent creatures, they enjoying playing at being dumb beasts in order to lull humanoids into a false sense of security, or even to allow itself to be taken in as a pet. For days at a time, they will subtlety alter the fortunes of a chosen individual to build their hope and confidence, only to steal it away cruelly at an inopportune moment. They enjoy blinding creatures with their claws, leaving them disfigured but alive to contemplate their misfortune.
In combat, a monuca typically takes a moment to grant itself the favor of fortune before pouncing. Vain and obsessed with their own beauty, monucas will often attack the enemy with the finest clothes, the prettiest eyes or some other striking feature before turning to other targets. A monuca can simultaneously hex foes with ill luck while fighting in melee, and frequently does so. Their claws are dagger-keen, and can tear the eyes from an enemy on a lucky strike. They are creatures with a high self-regard, and so flee from fights they cannot win, vowing revenge as they do so.
Monucas are solitary hunters, and rarely associate with each other except to mate. Children are always born twins, and are born without eyes. In the one selfless act a mother monuca ever makes, she allows her children to tear her eyes out and put them in their own skulls, which grants them sight and gives them time to grow their second eye. The mother monuca will regrow her eyes in time, but she is vulnerable in this state and typically spends her month or so of blindness tucked away in a remote cave.
A monuca grows to four feet long, half of which is their tail. They typically live fifty years or so.

A little tip for the Christmas season because that's what I do right now
Stop right there, don't laugh. Yes it's very early, but it's very early on purpose.
If you love Advent calendars but they are too expensive and unpredictable in November or so, make your own during the year!
Use a box from a previous calendar (not the one which needs to be torn apart, but with reusable containers, like 24 simple boxes that you can open and close again). It can be your own calendar from last year or you can buy it second-hand from someone selling their empty Advent calendar packaging.
And start getting little gifts for future! Buy or make them throughout the year! Maybe multiple per month - like buy two things in January, two in February, three in March etc, until December. Hide them in the calendar boxes right away, when you got them.
And then, when it's December, you'll likely forget what you put in there and you can open boxes like it's a new Advent calendar!
You can make a theme, like getting little animal figurines, useful accessories of your favorite color etc. Or make them random things you like!
It's not really surprises as you know exactly what you bought for it, yet it means that there won't be upsetting useless things you won't like. And it could be cheaper too!
Caution: don't put things that could expire by the time, like food.
