words will never be enough to describe how proud monroe is of avery. it warms her heart to think about how much the both of them have grown individually and together, with her wife publishing her book soon, owning oasis love hotel and aqualounge (never gonna lie, it’s become her favorite place for the most obvious reason) and agrabah resort and hotel, which where they are right now. they’ve decided to spend the rest of the day there while the younger brunette has been so busy. this is the life the dj never knew she needed and would be able to have. she was used to being alone majority of her life until she’s crossed paths with the beautiful avery marina chopra oliveira. once she’s made sure that their son is asleep, she spends few moments cleaning up their apartment before she could finally join the businesswoman in relaxing after such a long day. monroe sheds the rest of her clothes and then joins the other in bath. “hello, angel.” she greets her with a cheeky smile, walking up to her. “sleeping like a little baby angel. he looks like he’s off to another adventure tonight.” she chuckles lightly, kissing the top of the woman’s head. “now….it’s time for me to take care of you. can i join you, baby?”

       clara’s night at pudding & pie was going great, she looked hot and was making a ton of cash. however, she just had to be giving someone a lap dancce when one of the newer girls was up on stage. a new girl who apparently didn’t know how to put fucking shoes on because before clara could even process what was happening a nine inch platform heel came hurling towards her head. “what the fuck,” the blonde hissed bringing her hand up to her head only to pull it away covered in blood. she picked up the shoe and threw back at the stage before speed walking to the bathroom..

       clara groaned at the sight of her forehead as she grabbed a towel and wet it before starting to wipe away the blood. oh my god what if she got blood on the person she was dancing on? fuck. it wasn’t long before she heard the door swing open, thinking it was her boss to rip her a new one for throwing the shoe back the girl whipped around quickly still wiping blood. “first of all, she deserved it to be thrown back at her in fact, she’s lucky i didn’t stab her with it. second of all, apparently you need to make sure dancers know how to put on shoes before hiring them hm?” she was going to keep ranting until she realized that the other in the bathroom probably didn’t care. “oh fuck… sorry didn’t mean to like bite your head off.”

Well... That could’ve gone better. Avery had been observing from the DJ booth (well, as much as she possibly could what with her wife also DJing that night) when she noticed the commotion down below. She quickly kissed her wife’s cheek before quickly radioing some of the staff as she left the booth. “Damage control, now. Someone take the new girl backstage to the dressing room to calm her down, someone else clean up the place, and someone else get a new dancer ready then radio Knox to let her know so that she can get the set ready. I’m checking in on Tinker. Now, people!”

Take the 10:30 train back to Manhattan. Never miss it, Remi. Do you understand me? You can never miss that train.

It was an easy order to follow. Most of the town shut down by 9pm. The night owl establishments tended to have residential only hours after 10pm. When Remi worked the closing shift at the Library she was usually out by 9.50, a twenty minute walk to the train station and just a little bit of time to leave her mark on the town before she headed back to the city. Tonight she’d gotten out early. Tonight she was finally going to have time to work on a gorgeous stretch of wall at the bottom of the steps that led to the train platform. 

Was tonight a green or a purple night? Remi hesitated, two spray cans pulled from her bag, her sunglasses perched upon the bridge of her nose even though the sun had gone down hours ago. 

There was a sudden, startling presence behind her and she whipped around, as if the spray cans were full of mace and not paint. She supposed in a pinch paint to the eyes might be just as effective.

“Look, I’m not a good mugging victim. I’m just not. This guy in the city tried once and literally just gave me my wallet back because there was nothing in it but the crumb of a wayward frosted flake from my breakfast and a coupon for ski ball. The most valuable thing I have on me tonight is my $40 dollar gift card for Starbucks and like…just don’t be that asshole that fucks with another person’s caffeine fix for the week. Like, please.”

Living a sheltered life before going to a private school in Connecticut, Avery use to sneak out occasionally to see the city. To wander around and see what her home had to offer outside the walls of the Chopra mansion. While that’s no longer necessary for her to do, she still enjoyed going out and about. Sometimes with Monroe and Mars (if he’s not at his father’s or with her father, Ranveer), sometimes with her trusted bodyguard, or sometimes by herself. Being an extremely public person, she liked having these few moments of anonymity. Not Avery, the owner of two major successful establishments; Not Avery, the co-owner of the best strip club in New York City; Not Avery, the up-and-coming new author: just Avery, a young mother and wife. She liked getting to be that Avery the most.

There was no denying that Avery’s life was better than she could’ve ever hoped for. Married to an incredible woman and raising their son together; Being the owner of two successful establishments and the co-owner of the strip club she once (and still occasionally does) perform at; A soon-to-be published author in a few weeks: the young woman loved her life. However, there was one downside to being such a busy woman: Her feet were killing her constantly. Mainly working in Agrabrah today, the girl was rather happy over her decision of converting one of the many old suites into an apartment for her and her family to use for any reason, in case they weren’t able to make it back home to their cozy house. With Monroe and Mars having joined her later in the afternoon, the family enjoyed dinner together in one of the resort’s restaurants (whereas Waffles the cat was lazy back in the apartment) before she continued more work then reuniting with them in their mini home away from home. The girl was relaxing in a hot bubble bath after watching a movie and helping Roe get space monkey to bed, eyes shut as she lounged back before opening them as she was joined suddenly. “Hello, beautiful,” she mused, smiling warmly and hearts in her eyes. “He’s still asleep?”
