the Acoylete is such a broken show because there's too much in it and nothing works together

like the problem is everywhere to the point that you can see it in the first few shots of the first episode. hooded stranger enters a port and oh wait we can see her face and there goes the intruige.

first episode goes "oh wow this one former trainee jedi mighta done some murdeer oh wait no it was an evil twin the entire time" and deflates the tension. it's a recurring issue and even when it's not the twists are comically obvious that the structure of the show that leans into the tensions falls flat "who's the secret sith - is it the out of place bumbling guy with the same build as the villan or uh. well that's it really is it him?"

and I don't really care about the hippy polycule jedi massacre backstory. everyone in that situation had to act like an idiot for something to happen on that scale and frankly it feels like it would be better for the story to let some things remain a mystery
