It hurts because all you wanted was their time, their attention, the warmth they used to give so effortlessly. But now you feel like an interruption, like an unwelcome guest in a place that once felt like home. You start overthinking, did I do something wrong? Am I pushing them away? Or did they just stop caring? And that uncertainty, that quiet distance, eats away at you more than any harsh words ever could. You try to pull back to protect your heart, but deep down, all you want is for them to notice, to reassure you, to remind you that you still matter. But sometimes silence speaks louder than words. And that's what hurts the most."
