Ran across this explanation while admiring a pretty tumblr page. Lately I have gotten a lot of flak (by a self-proclaimed pro) for using Photoshop to color correct my photos with the goal of creating a mood.

FIRST OFF: Let’s face it, nearly every photographer that has ever photographed has done this, whether digitally or on film.

SECOND OFF: Photography, as an art form, is used to portray a moment. This includes portraying what you see and what you feel.

The Real Miami

Miami is pretty straight forward: Beaches, Art Deco, the Intercoastal, and Wynwood. Right?

Sure. But Miami also boasts an unique identity only known to locals. It is found in the old, run down streets that house the proud immigrants. It is found in the restaurants clustered next to one another, each serving a different cuisine. It is found in the music blasting from the bongos and the make-shift maracas.
