I saw the news that songwriter and Beach Boys co-founder Brian Wilson passed away yesterday. One cannot underestimate how impactful his songs were, and his struggles with mental illness. My personal favorite of his songs was Good Vibrations. But, I felt like God Only Knows is the more appropriate song for this piece.
Considering that Janeโs signature outfit came from a TV broadcast of the band singing Surfinโ USA, I think sheโs appropriate for this tribute. I even gave her a โ60s swimsuit and surfboard for it since without Brianโs work, Summer in California would have never gotten its sound.
