The worst trick a childhood anxiety disorder pulls is, you spend your early years being applauded for being so much more mature than your peers, because you arenât disruptive, you donât want any kind of attention, you donât express yourself, you keep yourself to yourself - this makes you a pleasure to have in class, etc etc - and you start to believe itâs virtue. But youâre actually way behind your peers in normal social development, and who knows if you can ever catch up.
how terrifying, to be aging and girl. at 18 i was told by men that i was âthe perfect age,â and i still thought it was a compliment. is it because at 20 i figured out how sharp those words were. i felt old at 21, felt like if grey hairs came and my spine cracked i was done for. how scary. i am reminded constantly by ârealisticâ ideas in fantasy novels that i should have five kids.
my life feels short. like it is squeezed into my twenties. like at 30 i become ghost, just another mother or hard worker or both, just another background character. like if i am not settled and making a difference by 27 i should just give up already. is this something men feel? like a clock is painted on their back, one hand warning: your beauty is something you are valued for and it is something you cannot get back.
and why was i only beautiful, i wonder, at 18 on a riverbank. iâm told often my childish face is a blessing. that i shouldnât want to look older. one told me i was a trap falling: âyou look young but youâre notâ he said to me, âit kind of led me onâ. am i not young?Â
maybe i am wrong. maybe itâs just how we all feel, getting old, like time is slipping from us. maybe men do worry that they will be alone forever if they donât settle by thirty, maybe itâs even because they think theyâll turn ugly. maybe we all squish our lives into that incredibly young decade. what do i know. iâm still learning.

Hey yeah this is very important.
Amongst some of the things than could happen are:
⢠Downloading, and distribution of PDF files would be illegal, as well as photocopying books.
⢠Downloading files for academic investigations would become illegal.
⢠English, robotics, and engineering workshops would become illegal.
⢠Costs in education would increase.
That last one is particularly important because sadly, Mexico doesnât have a great public education system, thus, many people have to enroll into private schools and most of them are very very expensive. Sadly almost half of the population here lives in poverty, in consequence many children arenât able to go to public schools. let alone costly private schools.
⢠Amongst the things that would turn illegal too, would be electronic repairing businesses, and only those businesses with authorized licenses could work.
⢠It would be illegal to add components to electronic devices, such as RAM memories, better processors, amongst others, regardless of the fact that said components were bought legally.
⢠Maintenance costs would increase as it would be illegal to fix your own electronic devices, even if itâs just a small touch up.
If things werenât already bad, the way we use the internet would be affected.
⢠Access to internet would become more expensive, new taxes would be added to platforms as well as media.
⢠Internet providing services could block the access to downloading images, music, videos, books, pretty much any content that could be found on the internet, including memes.
And last but not least.
Internet censorship.
âIf someone points out any post or publication that violates authors rights, said post or publication must be hidden, eliminated, or disabled without previous notice, proof, or any jurisdictional order coming from the internet provider (âŚ)â
Thus anyone, corporations and organizations, could demand for anything to be deleted and there wouldnât be any reason to stop them as they would protect themselves with alleged authors right accusations.
Overall, our government looks forward to silencing us, keeping us quiet and not allowing us of freedom of speech.
This can have awfully consequences, as we would be silenced for expressing our political views and content would be manipulated to fit a certain political narrative.
369 votes were given in favor to this law, 0 against it and 1 abstention.
I am asking for everyone out there to please share this. My future and many others would be greatly affected by this law, many people could lose their jobs and fall deeper into the ever growing line of poverty that Mexico has.
We canât allow for the government to keep us silenced and censored.

hello!!đ
failure anxiety really is psychological torture
you can't bring yourself to start any task because of the possibility that you'll fail to produce anything of value and end up not only having to confront the fact that you were never capable of doing it, but that you wasted time and energy trying. but every second you don't spend working on it your brain is screaming at you that you're losing valuable time and only increasing the probability of failure.
and every success you've had in the past does nothing to reduce your anxiety, and in fact only makes it worse, because you feel like you've given other people expectations of you that are impossible to meet, since as far as you're concerned all your previous achievements are the result of chance and not your abilities and skills.

do u ever remember all the horrible offensve things u said when u were like 15 and u literally feel ur soul detach and turn 2 dustÂ
your fave is problematic: yourself
Basically, yeah. Thatâs kind of the point â you always have to look back on yourself and be mortified and resolve to be better. Shit, the stuff I said just five YEARS ago (and Iâm almost 33) makes me cringe like a motherfucker. Burn in mortification. Rise from the ashes and be better. Lather, rinse, repeat for the rest of your life.
This is why purity culture doesnât work!!! Weâre all shit! We can all grow and do better!
