i’m sorry to all the katniss-covey haters but i gotta point out, tam amber, a member of the covey, making a mockingjay pin for maysilee donner, only for maysilee’s niece to gift it back to katniss, one of the only two living descendants of the covey, and have it turn her into a symbol of the revolution, is very funny.

the fact that if coryo had made different choices, he could have just lived in 12 with the songbird he spends his life never getting over anyways, the games could have just faded out, haymitch and lenore dove could have had kids and lived happily ever after and katniss would have been everyone’s cousin or niece… and of course still ended up with peeta somehow because “this would have happened anyway”.

One thing I find rather hilarious about the pre arena part in CF is that Katniss holds a grudge against Peeta for several days over what happened with Johanna & the other victors, but the moment she hears what Peeta did during the gamemakers' session she's instantly back to 'my man is the best' and 'I wish I hadn't shut him out all these days, I should have let him into my bed instead'.
