not enough acknowledgement of just how much of a pissy bitch kevin is i think. rereading the og trilogy (currently on trk) and every time neil mentions kevin it’s like. kevin frowned. kevin screamed at me (i screamed back). kevin slammed his locker. kevin slammed andrew into his locker. kevin was vibrating with rage. kevin told everyone to go fuck themselves. kevin said nothing because his body language signalled his annoyance enough. kevin didn’t even deign to look at me. kevin glared holes through my skull. someone asked if kevin ever smiled and he asked how he could be smiling with this team. kevin got in a brawl

I think we don’t talk enough about Neil’s understated sex appeal. I just know he lifts the hem of his shirt to wipe the sweat on his face on the treadmill, and on the one next to him Kevin trips and almost falls. I know his running shorts ride up at one point and there is a loud thump from the direction of Andrew’s leg curl machine. I know he pours a bottle of water on his face and chest while running outside one day and some poor freshman girl gets a stroke unrelated to the heat. And the best part is he’s completely unaware of it.

what if i told you there's a book in which a guy somehow gets a scholarship to attend a university for this thing he's good at and ends up joining a small cult-like group of people who do that thing and becomes enamored with the tall dark-haired guy who's best at it and also one member of a set of short blond twins while rejecting advances from the openly gay guy and lying about his background the whole time and dealing with the death of this other guy who was a bigot but probably didn't deserve to be murdered. the best part? i could be talking about either the foxhole court (2013) or the secret history (1992).
