As Monochrome stared in the mirror she began to feel that feeling that she feels all too often from looking at her face or hearing her voice. She begins to feel like she's being lifted from the very ground she stands on, when in reality she's collapsed on her knees staring at her hooves, that rush of feeling unreal comes over her body she feels separated from reality as if she doesn't exist but does at the same time she begins thinking of who she is and what she is why she is and what she's doing existing. Then the voice comes over in her mind louder than anything else around her, in fact any noise she may have been hearing has been muted and all she can hear is the sound of her own mind, it's the shadow... the shadow that has been doing this for years even as she was a kid. Monochrome's Shadow: Yes it's that time again to wonder what you're doing here in the world on this earth and you have no meaning... you're just to be tortured. That's why you were even kept alive after you were born you're here to be tossed from person to person being everyone's burden it's strange how life is. I'm here though... I'm here to make sure you don't try and wuss out again. I'm here keeping you strong. But I hate you as much as you do. I know you feel it burning in your chest as you just float there your vision fading to black. That hate isn't going away and neither am I. Monochrome just sits there in her comatose state trying to keep seeing the world around her before it turns black. She doesn't want to go into that darkness again. That darkness is worse than the one of depression. After the blackness comes she feels all the debilitating pain and all the experiences that has brought them on. Monochrome fights this battle from day to day but one day she won't be able to fight anymore the shadow will bring her down. To note: This is actually something I go through and have for many years I don't know what it is and I don't think I can get help for it. I'm sure it's something I've caused myself.
