A Lycan Exits the Forest... And Howls
I'm Lykaios, your average werewolf. I stand about 9' tall on my hind legs, and have deep, black fur all over, and a cold, wet nose. Hircine blessed me with sharp claws, sharp teeth, and a sharp wit. *wink*
I'm an amateur artisan. The beating heart of creativity is something I take great joy in grasping between my jaws. I'm a person who loves to make and I often sell my wares. You may see some of my creations on this blog.
My spirituality is complex. Some might think of me as an Elder Scrolls pop culture pagan. I don't use those words to describe myself. All that you need to know is that I am a lycanthrope and I consider myself aligned with Hircine, the Father of Manbeasts, and the concept of the Hunt. It may be occasionally mentioned.
I call myself a were, therianthrope, theriomythic, and real theriform extranth werewolf. I might use the word transspecies to refer to myself too. But that's for when I'm talking about the complex feelings I have about being perceived as a human/wolf rather than as a werewolf.
Other people might call me a fictionfolk, fictionkin, fictherian, fictive, otherkin, holothere, physical therian, or physical shifter. I don't really use those words for myself. Calling a werewolf a shapeshifter isn't wrong, but it misunderstands my species. I'm not something that is sometimes-human, sometimes-wolf. I'm always-werewolf. I also don't want to jump into the divide of physical and non-physical. My experiences are literal, but they may be happening here or Elsewhere. It's not your concern which.
