This tragic expression is because I gave her a cod chew this morning instead of a Costco dental bone (we are all out). 😔
Rest in peace dental bones... 😔

“what’s the song of the summer” ?? it’s DANCING IN THE DARK by bruce springsteen for the 42nd year in a row
I found this receipt in one of my library books and I love the way it's worded- it shows you how much you saved by not having to buy the book!

Ngl the actual criticism could be legitimate but if i see a post criticising an individual creator and when you look at that person's account it's ALL just long posts criticising that creator and attacking them personally like
That's no longer legit. It's at best obsessive, at worst, harassmsnt
Like esp when it's a smaller creator like an author or an artist, if the blogger in question is basically a one-man protest brigade against that person, and that person hasn't actually like. Done anything hurtful to an individual - ie like. Sexual assault, physical abuse, theft, etc
Then it's like. Cool. What's happened here is you as an individual have gotten really fixated on this creator or their work as Representative Of All Wrongs.
No amount of apology or change of behaviour from them will matter, bc you're being obsessive and parasocial.
And i won't reward that
And i certainly will not engage with it
It's good to like, aware of media and engage critically but when you're just like. Obsessed with a random person and stalking their socials and doing the "this bitch eating crackers" shtick but with beefed up media criticism language, that's NOT good
As always, remember to have hobbies and activities that are not social media, that involve friendships in meatspace where possible, that are creative or constructive in a way that satisfies you
If you find yourself fixated on someone like this, take a step back, take a breath, and redirect.

romanticizing your life is such a powerful tool and it’s a shame that it’s mostly used by people on tiktok to justify the purchase of expensive breakfast smoothies when there are few better ways to force oneself through unpleasant shit than imagining a cinematic backstory for your extremely quotidian suffering

This fawn and bobcat were found in an office together, cuddling under a desk after a forest fire
This caption is not actually correct, the fawn and bobcat were not found in an office together cuddling after a forest fire. The bobcat kitten was found first incredible dehydrated a week prior and then the 2009 Jesusita forest fire occurred and the rescue then had to deal with a huge flood of animals. Animal Rescue Team was saving as many animals as they could, but because of the massive number of animals they ran out of space and didn’t have any choice but to temporarily place the two together while they were running more rescues.
Usually, you would never house these two species together, but when in an emergency situation with literally nowhere else to put them, the rescue had to do it. Luckily for them, the 3 week old kitten and 3 day old fawn quickly bonded in their dire circumstance and several very cute photos were taken before the two were separated to be raised separately for release once the situation had cleared up and there was space for the fawn.
Learning the whole story also means that you get to find out that there are more photos!!
Look at what cool stories you get when you source things.
