My Number One Crush

Yesterday, I was walking home through Raymundo gate at around 5:25pm. I was kind of half expecting to see him. And I did. He was standing at the gate to the apartments where he was staying, and he was standing there with some guy I don’t know… anyway…

I was looking at him and he was looking at me. I smiled and waved and he smiled and waved back… And that was it.

  This morning, I was with Dee and Cam. Cam apparently is now favouring Dean over LJ.

You see, yesterday, me, Cam, Beth and Dean were hanging out around campus, watching how the HUM 2 students were making fools of themselves. And now she thinks we have chemistry.

No. I will not get with Dean… ever!

LJ is still in here and no one is going to ever replace him.

Anyway, today I only saw him once. During ANSC 1 lecture class, he was about 20 minutes late as usual. He wore the same violet shirt he wore yesterday. I didn’t get a chance to have eye contact with him and smile at him.

And well, as I was going home I bumped into Dee as she was on her way to her Christian youth group. And well she said she saw him still in his violet shirt with a group of guys at the Dana’s computer shop in the Grove. I asked her, “Did he recognize you?”

“Does he even know me?” Dee replied.

I said, “You're my friend, right? He knows you haha!”

“Really now?” Dee said. We laughed.

This morning, he didn’t attend our ANSC 1 lecture class… which made me quite a bit sad… so yeah…

But earlier tonight, I saw him walking alone in his hot white shirt with jeans outfit in the Grove. I was with Emma, Ate Shar, Ate Ami, Nicka, Marie and Kuya Marky. I was like this to Emma when I saw him, “Oh my god, Emma! My day is complete!”

“Why?” She asked, super clueless.

Then I pointed at LJ, and said, “It's LJ!” I was jumping and shit with glee.

Ate Ami was like, “Was that your crush?” I nodded vigorously like a crazy little girl.

Yesterday, I unexpectedly saw LJ at CAS… all thanks to Kimberly. :D

Well, I bumped into her when I was about to go to ENG 2 in CAS 108. As we were going up the steps, Kimberly goes, “Hey! It's LJ!”

I turned my head to where she was looking and I didn’t see him so I thought she was just kidding. And then, she fixed my head and I found him. He was going down the steps, wearing a blue shirt and his usual jeans. I was so gleeful I was like, “Oh my god, Kimberly! You made my day!”

And then, I called LJ. He was like “Hey” and then he was wearing his super hot smile and saluted me. And then he walked away.

I turned to Kimberly again and said, “Kimberly! You seriously made my day! Oh my god!” I was shaking her and shit.

And then she said, “Oh my gosh Kia! You're turning red! Hahaha!”

I so love Kimberly.And then we both laughed.

Today I saw him three times: first during ANSC 1 lecture, second at CEM and third at Raymundo gate.

He was late during ANSC 1. He wore a white shirt and jeans, and he was carrying this duffel-bag like bag again. And then after class, his older brother was outside ASLH. I was like, “Shit, girl, do not panic. Act cool. You did not do anything fucking stupid last night.” They were only talking, and then his older brother offered him a bite of his fried banana roll, and then well, LJ took it and then he walked away.

The second time, I was with Cam, we were at the entrance to the building where the CEM FH was located. I glanced at the stairs to CEM, I saw the same white shirt and jeans, and I seriously knew that it was him. As he was slowly approaching, Cam was like, “Hurry, hurry! Let's pretend that I pushed you and you accidentally bump into LJ!” I was like, “Fuck you, bitch!”

And then, when he was close enough, I was looking at him and he looked like he was looking at me and singing. I then said “Hey LJ.” He like smiled and just nodded and then Cam was like, “Oh hey LJ. I didn't see you there. Nice haircut.” And then we walked away from him.

Cam then decided to buy something as a reward, so we went to Raymundo gate. When we’ve already bought something, we were walking back to CAS A2, LJ suddenly appeared from Cadapan’s. I was like, “Hi LJ again.” Then he was like, “Hey [insert awkward smile here]”

Then well, we walked away from him. I was like, “Okay, my day is super made!”

As we were talking about LJ in CAS A2, Chloe appeared. And then she asked, “What's happened with you and LJ?”

And then Cam was like, “Nothing.”

And then, Chloe was like, “What do you mean nothing?”

“This girl feels too much, while the other one is a plant!” Cam said.

It was so funny.

Today, I told Jessica my full story of him in about an hour and a half. Well, it started when I called LJ earlier tonight because well… I just wanted to hear his voice. My call didn’t even ring yet he had already picked his phone up. He said, “Hello, Kia?”

And then, I heard someone ask him who was calling him and he said, “It's Kia.” And then he returned his attention to the call saying, “Hello? Kia? Hello?” As he said those words, someone in the background on his end was being like, “Yiiee! Yiiee!” And then, after 30 seconds, LJ ended the call.

It was short and corny or whatever, but it kind of made my day.

So… I had ANSC 1 first thing in the morning this morning. I got up really early and got there earlier than I thought. Anyway, I waited for him to arrive in class, but he didn’t arrive during the first ten minutes.

I actually thought he wasn’t going to attend when he arrived at the last five minutes of the fifteen minute grace time period. He surprised me just like always. He wore a plain white shirt with his usual pants.

He made me swoon like “Thank you for sharing with us your glorious hot presence!” As he walked to his seat, Carly glanced at me with the look all friends have when they see your crush and then they look at you like they were teasing you. LOL

And then, after the class, I got to talk to him. I was like “Hey LJ!”

He was like, “Hey [insert his slightly awkward smile here]”

I was then like “Happy new year :)”

He was then like “Happy new year too”

And well that was it. :)

I just remembered this one conversation we had… it was right around a few days after our whole day together.

I was sitting outside PSLH-B where we were having our Math 11 lecture classes. And then, I was kind of surprised because he arrived early for the first time since he was always late.

He sat down next to me and then we started talking. LJ had earphones on. I think he was listening to rock music so I asked him, “Do you like rock music?”

“A bit,” he answered.

I nodded and said, “But your favourite is Ne-yo?”

“I’ve got a variety of favourite music.”

“Oh… you play the guitar right?”

“Yeah.”

“I don’t know how to play any musical instruments, but I really wanna learn how to play the piano.”

“Oh well I know how to play the piano, though I didn’t get into it as much. But if you’ve know how to play the piano, it’ll be easier to adjust to other instruments.”

“Yeah I heard, ‘cause you’ll know how the notes sound like, right?”

I really wanted to say, “Teach me how to play the piano.” But I just couldn’t. I was really embarrassed and shy that time so I couldn’t say it.

I told Cam about this conversation and then she told me that I should’ve said it, so LJ and I would have bonding moments. But really, I just couldn’t say it because I didn’t have the self-esteem and confidence then.

Sad.

So… I just realized that I haven’t relayed my one whole day with him… the one that happened after I made my first move.

I should probably start with the day I first saw him… though I really don’t remember it that much. It was my last class and our teacher asked us to introduce ourselves (the usual name, nickname sort) and then the thing that we wanted to be. I don’t know why but I remembered his nickname… well it was really kind of funny the way he said it.

He said, “My nickname is [insert his real nickname here]… like the space ranger.” I actually kind of laughed when he said it.

The next day, I saw him again… It was early in the morning and I said to myself, “He’s my classmate again? What’s his name again? Damn.”

Well, I kind of got irritated of him because of the way he looked. You know… dark skin, glasses and that earring in his left earlobe.

After a few hours, I saw him again at Math. I facepalmed thinking to myself, “Him again?!The fuck with this!”

And then, well, after that, he started to become my crush… I realized he was my super classmate when it was Wednesday the next week. And when Friday came, I found out that he was my bloc mate when I kind of eavesdropped on him and my other bloc mate, Luigi.

And that afternoon, we had our first G.I. That was when I first said my whole name this way, “Hi, my name is [insert my full name here with long pauses]. Sorry, my full name is kinda long haha!”

Funny… because he said his full name like this, “Um, I’m [insert LJ’s full name with commas here].” I was then like, “You just copied the way I said my name!” And then he said he could play the guitar, both acoustic and electric and I don’t quite remember what he said on why he took Agribusiness Management.

After that, I kind of got close to him as I could and said, “So… uh, do you still have classes after this?”

He answered, “Uh, nope, this is my last one.”

“Ahh… so you going home now?” I asked.

“Not yet. I’m going home tomorrow.”

“Ah… well, I’m going home now, hahah.”

Insert more blab that came out of my mouth.

Then when we got to the Jeepney stop, I said, “Okay, I better be off.”

He then saluted me saying, “Sure, take care.”

And then I got on a jeepney and stifled a high pitched giggly gleeful scream as I answered my dad’s call.

The following week, Wednesday, I spent that whole frickin’ day with him. We both had every class together. Oh, I first approached him during our first class in ENG 1. And then, we walked the whole way from CEAT to CAS A2. When we arrived there, I talked to Rose and gave her the cupcake I made for her. And well, I was with LJ when I did that. And then, Rose offered him a half of that cupcake. At first he was kind of refusing it, but with me and Rose nudging him to take it, he took it :>

After that class, I don’t remember if it was him or me who disappeared. So I just ate lunch all alone.

Oh, this was also the day I got his number and told him my favourite colour.

He was kind of late during Math. And then, after that, we hung out at BioSci because we had about an hour before our next class… just the two of us. And then we both remembered that we needed bluebooks. So I asked him if he knew where to buy them. He said he did and then we started to walk there. As we were on our way there, we bumped into Dee. I told her that she should go on ahead. LJ and I talked about a lot of things during our little walk. I found out a lot about him, like he has an educational plan, and that he was supposed to go to Ateneo, and all that. When we’d already bought bluebooks, I went to Mini Stop with him ‘cause he was thirsty and bought Chillz.

As we walked back to BioSci, he asked me how long I’ve had braces on. And then well, more stuff was said, and then, we had our lab class.

During that lab class, I was talking to Dee and then we realized we had to get microscopes so we both went down to get them. It was just me and her, and then we talked about LJ… kind of. Well, I said, “What do you think of LJ?”

She said, “You two look great together.”

And then I said, “Even though we look like coffee and milk?”

“Heck yeah! You two look like you’ve got something going on between you two.”

And that was when I told her I’ve got a crush on him. She was so surprised. And then she said, “Ah… I see. He likes you, too.”

After the class, he was whistling the tune of “I won’t give up” by Jason Mraz. And well that was it.

Today, he was late for ANSC 1. And on top of that, he didn’t bring a bluebook. Tsk tsk. He didn’t trust me.

Anyway, I didn’t get a chance to see if he watched me pass my exam papers and leave the lecture hall. But I quickly went to Men’s Dorm to talk to Dee. And I did.

I told her about stuff that’s happened and all that.

I also told her about the story Carly told me yesterday. She was so surprised and she was like, “He’s such a coward.”

After that I walked to Chess alone. I finished early with Jeni. And that was when I finally got to watch him play basketball. He wore a white shirt and a pair of blue jersey shorts with the number 16 on it. He even played basketball lazily. But when the ball was passed to him, he suddenly had so much swag and shit I fell even harder. Man! xD

And then, after that, I had the worst experience of the week… I was this close to walking into a group of naked guys that were gonna run at the so-called “oblation run”.

Good thing Jeni had the good sense to have us avoid them.

Anyway, during ECON 11, Cam told me her side of the story. She said that as they walked out of the lecture hall, she called LJ and said, “Hey LJ, Kia said ‘hi’.”

And then he said, “I know.:)”

And that was when Cam sort of panicked. She was like this in her head, “Oh my god! What does LJ know?! Kia didn’t tell me that she told him her feelings for him already!” But on the outside she was like this, “What do you know? How did you know?”

Cam described his reply like this: just his usual awkward kind of smile and then he ignored them.

I think. But I really think they bid him goodbye and left.

I wanted to call him earlier… but I thought better of it.

I’ll just tell him over the weekend.

So, well… I really didn’t get a chance to see him throughout the afternoon.

But I’ve received news on him. Cam and Carly were his classmates during CRSC 1. They talked to him according to Carly. She said Cam called him and said, “LJ, Kia said ‘hi’.”

He replied, “Yeah, I know.”

And then they were like, “How’d you know?”

And then he just smiled and I don’t know… walked away?

And then, tonight, I walked to my first G.A. with Charlene. We walked to Raymundo gate. And then, when we reached their corner, I saw him there sitting with two other people.

Man, my whole day was super complete!

I wanted to call him but, I could feel that the two guys he was with would tease us… so I thought otherwise.

And then, I texted him, “We’ve got an exam in ANSC 1 tomorrow, right?”

He replied an hour and twenty-two minutes later, “Yeah. Are you going to study the lecture syllabus?”

I replied, “A little, I’ve got some notes to study, too. We need a bluebook right?”

And then he didn’t reply anymore.

Oh well.

Today, I only saw him once. And that was during ANSC 1 lecture. Well, he was as always late. And again he wore blue. LJ totally looked like he just woke up and decided to go to class.

Anyway, after the lecture, I quickly went to the back to talk to Isha. And as I waited for Isha to stand up, I looked at him, and I knew that he was looking at me even though the light was reflected on his glasses.

I smiled at him and he smiled back. He also saluted me, like most times. And then I waved back.

It was just a fleeting moment. But it meant a lot to me since I’ve been having a really bad week.

Sadly, I wasn’t able to watch LJ play basketball because he didn’t attend his PE 2.

Oh well.

Today, Cam sent me this picture through Facebook. It’s somewhat a quote or well typography. It’s about choosing to tell someone you like them or not. It’s really amazing.

It helped me make up my mind on whether or not to tell LJ that I’ve got feelings for him.

And I’ve decided that I will tell him… soon.

Today, I got up fresher and better than recently. Seriously. Hahahah!

I went to class early and waited for LJ to arrive. And when he did arrive, I was seriously surprised. xD

I was wearing blue, and he was also wearing blue! I was like, fuck. Hahahahaha!

And then, well, my hair was still wet and it kept sticking to the back of my shirt and wet it. It sucked, so I like brushed it back. And after that, I saw him looking at me. He sat in front actually while I was at the back. And then when he saw that I was looking, he quickly removed his gaze.

I was like, “You fucking saw that? Fuck!”

I’m assuming that what he saw was more like in the movies where a girl flips her hair back in slow motion rather than the shitty way I think I looked.

And then, I had chess.

After chess I was so happy that I could get out of there early and watch him play basketball. But he was late! I didn’t want to stand at the third floor of the gym looking like a loner.

So I decided to walk out. And as I walked out, I bumped into him! He and his hotness in his hot blue shirt and jeans are perfection. xD

Anyway, I called his attention. I smiled at him.

He said, “Where you off to?”

I was like, “I just got out of my chess class.”

“Oh, I still have basketball,” he replied.

I then said, “Oh, okay. Take care!”

I wanted to add, “Have fun!” But I didn’t.

Sad.

Today, I was at C-Park with Cam and Angelico. They then decided to make me call him. And well, I did. But he didn’t answer, so I didn’t call him again.

After a while, we decided to start walking again. And as we walked around CAS A2, we all heard my phone’s tone for messages. Cam asked, “Was that your phone?”

I said, “Yeah.” And I fished my phone out of my pocket. The two were like, “It’s LJ” over and over again.

And then, when I opened the message, I was like, “Fuck you guys! It is HIM!”

He texted me, “Hey, why’d you call? My classes just finished”

Angelico and Cam said, “Call him! Call him!”

And so I did. He answered after a few rings, and then he said, “Hey why’d you call?”

I was like, “Uh, just a sec.” I said to the two, “Fuck what am I going to say?!”

I’m not sure if it was Angelico or Cam who said this, but… “Tell him you miss him!”

And well, I did say it. I kind of whispered a bit, “Um… I just missed you…”

He was like, “W – What?”

I said louder, “I just missed you!”

He replied, “Uh… Thank you…”

I was then like jumping like shit. And then well, he said he had to go ‘cause he was going to talk to his professor.

And then, I continued to jump like shit. And then I stopped as we reached the OUR.

It was a pretty good thing that I did, because we bumped into him and his older brother. We talked a bit. I found out that he has STAT 1. And then, well, we parted ways.

When they were gone, Cam and Angelico were like, “Kia won’t be able to sleep tonight!” I realized, “Oh yeah. Fuck you guys!”

And then, after that I walked Cam home and stayed at her place a bit. And we discussed the whole event. She said that when we were talking, LJ’s older brother was like trying to tell which one of us was the girl who called his younger brother.

Funny really.

Today, I especially got up early to get to class earlier… but apparently, he decided to go to class later. Oh well… Anyway, when he arrived in class he was carrying a backpack for the very first time!

Seriously! He never used a backpack in campus! EVER!

Anyway, I remembered Cam telling me that she saw him at Copeland Gym on her way out. It was his PE 2 or something. I thought that after ANSC 1, he was going straight to his class, but he didn’t.

So anyway, I walked to Copeland Gym for my PE 2, which is Chess. Dee tied my hair in a waterfall braid again. And well, as she did so I told her about the stuff that’s happened this week.

And after that, I had my first Chess game. Yeah, well I lost hahahaha!

Anyway… after that, as I walked out of the Chess room at the third floor of the office part of the Gym, I saw a new group of boys playing at the basketball court in the middle of the gym. And then that was when I saw him in the middle of that group. He was wearing a white shirt and green jersey shorts. When I saw him, I realized he was looking at me as well. I was going to wave at him, but then they started playing. So I didn’t distract him, else he’ll get pounded on during that game.

I watched him for a few minutes and then left.

He was so hot even without his glasses on. >///<

Last Monday, I got back to LB earlier and Cam and I decided to eat dinner together. And then, I thought of inviting Joe, and he also tagged along.

And then, Cam thought that we were too little for a group. And then, we tried calling a few people. And then, we decided to call LJ too :”>

I did not suggest that. They did.

And then we did call him. He answered, but it was Cam who held the phone. But I was so overjoyed to hear his voice. xD

He was still in QC so he couldn’t tag along.

And then, we all ate dinner at Cel’s. And then, that night, I did the craziest shit that I’ve done that day, and that was call him just to listen to his voice and not say a thing.

The call lasted for about a minute and four seconds before he hung up. During that call, he only said, “Hello? Kia? Hello?” over and over again.

And then, in the background, there was a woman. She was like, “She’s not answering? Try saying ‘I love you’.” It was so funny.

Anyway, yeah, he didn’t say it.

Okay, the next day... I was late for ANSC 1. And then, when I took my seat, after a couple of minutes I saw a familiar white with black stripes shirt, glasses and left earring. And thus, I realized that we were classmates in that one lecture class.

I suddenly grabbed Carly’s wrist and said, “Fuck this shit! Carly! HE’s our classmate in this class! Fuck!”

I was again overjoyed and gleeful that fucking day.

And it kept getting better…

That afternoon, around 1:40pm, Cam and I were walking in our college and on our way to our next class at CAS A2 MPH1 from Lumino City. And then, she saw him from a distance and all that shit. We called him and talked to him.

He was on his way to EE Audi for his Math 14 class. I was like, “Wow… EE Audi.”

Then he was like, “Yeah, take care.”

Then I was like, “You take care too.”

Then we went our separate ways.

As we continued our walk to HUM 3, I was jumping up and down like shit with glee and pushing Cam so hard she almost tripped.
