Spite, the great motivator
It appears that boredom lies behind the most creative ideas. That's why quarantine has produced some of the most entertaining activities. One of them is the Getty Museum challenge, that so many of you have already seen in our previous article here.
Narcissus taking a selfie is the ACTUAL best.
These are REALLY cool
These are art in themselves, in a some of them point out what lockdown was like for us, they’re expressed themselves in a really cool way. But I think these are going to be talked about in the future.
"I like using ai"
I really worry that if when children are groomed on social media after the ban, they will be taken less seriously because by definition they won't be the "perfect victim".
Survivors of grooming and abuse are already subject to intense scrutiny and social stigma but if we now add in the fact that they "aren't supposed to be on social media in the first place", I am really concerned that the culture of victim-blaming will escalate even further and survivors will be even more reluctant to come forward (although we're already pretty close to rock bottom there).
Anything but placing the blame with the predators themselves I guess.
Imagine if you were groomed at, say, age 13 under these circumstances. You can't use in-app features to report it because they've all been taken down now that the whole app is supposedly child-free. You can't go to your parents because you know they'll be angry. You have a trusted adult at school but exactly how far can they be trusted? Now you have to do a cost-benefit analysis at 13 years old to weigh up the risks associated with seeking help against the danger you are in. And even if the trusted adult believes you, the established safeguarding pathways have all been either dismantled or heavily defunded by the Government because, again, you weren't supposed to be there.
Your groomer is the only person who was supposed to be there.

some hyper famous artists like Van Gogh transcend overratedness and become underrated because they're so normalized. Like I'll look at a van Gogh and I'm like wait this really is amazing you guys don't get it
Shakespeare is like this
Every time I see a Van Gogh that’s not one of his better known pieces it absolutely blows me away
Have you seen this shit my liege? smh unreal

I will always reblog this
still remember how revolutionary this ad felt 10 years ago
excuse me but it still feels revolutionary
Keep reblogging until it feels normal everywhere.
For context: this came out in 2011 in Australia. Same-sex marriage would not be legalized until December 2017.
It was only legalized in 8 US states (the 8th only a few months before), and wouldn’t be legalized nation-wide until 2015.
It was only legal in TEN COUNTRIES in 2011. We wouldn’t hit 20 countries until 2017. (Australia was 23rd)
As of today (April 14, 2026), I believe only 38 countries have fully legalized same-sex marriage. Out of somewhere around 200 countries in the world. That’s only ~19% of countries.
This is still revolutionary.
things to say after fucking up egregiously
pack it up boys we've made a social blunder
let's run that again
one more time normal style
I'm going to become a statistic
further proof god is out to get me
it's because I tore my acl senior year
I couldn't do it for religious reasons
my ex took my talent in the divorce
good thing nobody saw that (said directly to someone who definitely saw it)
flicking back through my procreate library what the fuck was this
Colored for dyslexic bloggers. You know I had to do it to em.
Do you love the color of the accessibility ✨

(jevil voice): I can slay anything!!!
yes, India made legal gender change impossible but the doctor down the street who gives me my T shots in a clinic so small that it's just two rooms was excited for me when she said my voice had dropped yes, India made legal gender change impossible but the receptionist who could see that I was a man didn't bat an eyelash when I asked to see the gynecologist and called me sir when he asked how I wanted to pay yes, India made legal gender change impossible but the barber cuts my hair exactly how I want it and never gave me strange looks for being in a men's salon not even back when I didn't pass as one
yes, India made legal gender change impossible but my friends have always gendered me correctly and stick to it even when it confuses other people and my friend's little sibling calls me older brother in Kannada yes, India made legal gender change impossible but my dog learned my new name quicker than the humans and she runs to give me a kiss when she's told to without being confused about who's being referred to
yes, India made legal gender change impossible but I can feel the Adam's apple growing in my throat and my muscles getting stronger, and my smile more real and I'm growing a beard, and I talk more freely
yes, India made legal gender change impossible but I'm here, and I'm alive, and so are you and there are good people, people who care and don't let them make you forget that-- you are not alone.
Clearly Grace’s first moment of adoring Rocky was when they start to dance together. Rocky’s willingness to play gave him joy.
And I think Rocky begging to watch him sleep made him trust him more. Rocky wanted to protect him. Grace needed that safety. Rocky knew loneliness. Grace knew it too.
Then Rocky learning about Earth with him made him fonder. Rocky was willing to help hold Grace’s memories, his love for his lost world. And Rocky being a romantic who still wanted more time with his mate made Grace feel very tender to him; Rocky knew love, too.
Rocky’s horror that Grace would die opened Grace’s heart to the core. Someone would grieve him, someone loved him. Someone needed him to live.
So when Rocky almost dies to save him Grace is horrified, but he understands why. They love each other now. Love is brave.
Which is why he goes back for Rocky, and could never have done anything else. The love is the courage, the reason, the answer, the joy and the end.
Non-binary people can't use they/them because they're only one person. Non-binary people can't use it/its because it's dehumanizing. Non-binary people can't use neopronouns because they're too confusing. Non-binary people can't use he/him and/or she/her because that's not gender neutral. Non-binary people can't use no pronouns because that's too hard to use.
No matter what pronouns a non-binary person uses somebody will get mad at them.

so what you're gonna do is you're gonna trim the top off a bulb of garlic, using the knife's edge to take off the tip of every individual clove, that's important. you're gonna place the garlic face-up in a square of tinfoil, drizzle with olive oil, wrap completely in foil, place in baking tray, repeat with a copious amount of garlic bulbs. you're gonna put that baking tray in an oven set to 375-400°F, for 30-50 minutes, until soft and browned. you're gonna toast some good bread, slather generously with butter and honey, maybe a tiny lil bit o' salt. and then. you're gonna SQUEEZE. OUT. THAT. ROASTED GARLIC. onto the butter honey toast. and you're gonna eat it. food stolen directly from the plate of the gods. that's what you're gonna do.
the garlic. it beckons you
It occurs to me that "1920s gangster doing a cooking show while holding you at gunpoint" is an untapped market.
We've had normal cooking shows. Now we need period piece cooking shows in character.
I'm uh.
Just going to point out that this happened, and then go into hiding (with, I hope, somewhat improved opsec) before somebody puts a horse head in my bed.
