One of the most annoying things about Spanish for me is the y to e rule

Not because it's difficult when you've got time to really think about what you're about to say, but sometimes I'll be listing things and then say y and then have to think and then the word I need begins with an I or HI and I'm just like great now I'm failing at grammar

And then I have to say it again with an e to let them know that I know how grammar works

#i just dont care #in french i misgender everything and miraculously my friends still perfectly understand what im saying #almost as if grammatical gender is a useless concept #sorry to the person i reblogged this from lmao

Why are airplane luggage restrictions so random. Ok I get it, lithium ion batteries can self combust, but for other stuff its like;

Four litres of 70% alcohol? Thats totally fine.

But a perfume bottle? Only if its under 100ml.

Liquid nitrogen? Solid carbon dioxide? A-ok!

Medical O2 canisters required for disabled people? How dare you even ask?

Knives shorter than 6cm? Go ahead!

Nail clippers? No way in hell!

Mercury thermometers? If its for medical reasons, you can only put it in your check in baggage. But if its for meteorological reasons you are only allowed to carry it on your hand luggage (?)

And billiard cues? Wtf, straight to jail
