Half the dresses I see in fashion runaways got me "oh, this is so pretty, so beautiful... I could never ever use it"
The other half "what the hell is this ridiculous shit?"
Daily PSA not to trust AI Overviews. It's neither of those. It's Season 2, Episode 3 at 42:08 on the AMC streaming version if any pro-AI person doesn't believe me. As for the rest of what it said here, it would probably take no more than 2 minutes reading any full season review to see that literally none of that is correct except the episode titles.
Even though I was asking the AI a question about TV and there's literally zero stakes if I accept its wrong answer, there is a serious point here. If it can't get this right and it's using this same "method" when it's asked questions where there are real stakes if the user accepts a wrong answer, that should scare everyone.
I've been researching the rules imposed by SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists), the American actors' union.
Why I think there is a chance we won't see this old Molloy in an explicit relationship with Armand.
There is an EDIT at the end, that give as hope. But anyway the post stand in response to those who claimed, on an old post, that an actor HAS TO DO whatever is in the script once he plays a character.
As I mentioned in another post, and as I've now verified, if a role involves nudity or intimacy, the producer is required to disclose this: in the character breakdown (the description sent to agents) or in the casting announcement; to allows the actor to decide whether or not to audition. Or in any case before the actor accepts the role.
When Eric Bogosian auditioned for the part of Daniel Molloy, his relationship with Armand was definitely not planned in the first season. Because in fact, there isn't one (not even on the second). Assad Zaman said in an interview that when he confronted Eric about the possible future relationship between their characters, Eric was surprised because, not having read the books, he knew nothing about it. This tells us that Eric Bogosian auditioned and signed a contract for a character who had no intimate relationship whatsoever. This is a fact!
Now, Can they change their minds during filming?
They can suggest changes, but they can't impose them (rightly so, since actors are people). If the request differs from what was agreed upon on the contract, the actor's refusal does not constitute a breach of contract. SAG-AFTRA rules protect the actor's right not to be forced to accept changes to scenes involving intimacy or nudity.
So, the production gave the face of Eric Bogosian to Daniel Molloy when he wasn't supposed to be in a relationship. Now that the saga is moving forward, it means new seasons and new contracts: they can propose intimate scenes to the actor, but he isn't forced to accept them, and if that were to happen, the production could
- Shoot the entire thing without any intimate scenes. Telling but not showing.
- Not finalize the new contract and change the actor.
What I think could happen (obviously, this is just an hypothesis) is that the production finds itself in precisely that situation and, therefore, to avoid changing a character's face for no reason, is looking for workarounds. I know Assad and Eric have repeatedly demonstrated their dedication to the DM ship, but it's still possible that a 70-year-old man doesn't feel comfortable being intimate (even just making out) with a man so much younger then him.
Maybe that's not the case, and next season (if there is one) we'll see Armand and Bogosian's Daniel confirm the intimate nature of their relationship! But I think my hypothesis has merit and should be taken into consideration when understanding potential production and script choices.
EDIT: apparently Eric himself told he would be on board and finally some soul was kind enough to share a link.
Instead of just bitching
So, potential production and script choices, could not be based on Eric.
Eric Bogosian and Assad Zaman discuss the potential of physically intimate scenes between Armand and Daniel in The Vampire Lestat's future.
I also searched this Intimacy Coordinator figure, but this post is long enough as it is.

This picture are always so much brighter then the show. I'm curious, do they tone it all down after?
Armand has been showing off his "rest" skill so much this season lol, girl it's ok we get it, it didn't work that one time in San Francisco but you're still a big scary vampire

ASSAD ZAMAN IN IWTV - THE VAMPIRE LESTAT
1. Perfectly composed
3. There is something wrong going on
4. The puppy-faced apologies
5. The weird confessions
6. The plotting
7. The absolute breakout!
What a journey had Armand 🟠.🟠
things Armand can do: stop time, fire gift, telepathy, telekinesis, command the body, fly, iPad kid, amass 100 followers, lead a cult, manage a theater company, day walk
things Armand can’t do: put a head in a cooler or fucking drive a car
Why can't I find two teaspoons of the same set at my grandmother's house? Not even two!
Grandma, what did you do with the teaspoons in all this years? Did you throw them out the window at the street vendors?
Based of an old layout on an old post rediscovered recently.
I'm gonna post other fandom too because it's fun.
After The Vampire Lestat season I can at least confirm Claudia's position in the chart. Girl, you were to much self assured for that world of insicure petty men.
Anyway, I now feel like I should move Leatat more on the left of the chart. The whole upper line is of people with so little self-awareness that they don't even know what they're doing or what they want.

Unpopular opinion
Some fandoms are turning in those weird sad guys who follow people online for the dubious pleasure of complaining under their every post.
It's normal to like something and find some critiques. It's different to pass a damn month constantly finding everything a "total failure", and keep watching.
I feel like we are surrounded by people who keep going to a restaurant to complain every time that they don't like their cooking. It is so hard to actually stop going??
The official pages are full of people who watched the whole show and complained at every turn. What's your goal? To block a next season because if you don't like something then it should not exist?
If I don't like sushi I could do some post about the why, but I don't go under every sushi restaurant's page to complain.
