Perhaps a teaser of a new installment of this local podcast, Talking Galloway:

Anyways. Aside the confirmation the mom & daughter duo flew in and were probably brought in there the morning of the event by car, this other phrase is something I am taking stock of:

'We've got some other local businesses here represented. We'd love to encourage more of the local businesses to get involved'. [02:53 - 03:12]

I think the event definitely lacked proper planning. There are not that many local businesses in the area and his distillery business partners could probably have done a better scouting and co-opting job.

No trace of Madam Mao. Not even on that semi-obscure local press outlet.

I need to circle back to something I wanted to write about earlier, before I got distracted by... well, everything else.

As we know, the 'Creator to Creator' podcast featuring Karolina Wydra and the Main Heroine was heavily edited before it was released. As I pointed out back in June, the Name-That-Must-Not-Be-Spoken isn't uttered a single time during the entire fifty-something-minute conversation.

After watching the additional footage that was released later, I'm now convinced that the Name-That-Must-Not-Be-Spoken was mentioned. It was simply... Snip. Snip. Snip. The name that survived the edit? Tobias. Let's listen together.

But it was such a learning curve. I remember, you know, I'm so grateful I had the first two weeks were with Tobias. And Tobias was such a seasoned actor and had so much experience. And I remember just watching how he conducted himself in the meetings and watching the sort of questions he asked and all of those things. And I was like okay right it's okay to ask that, it's okay to do that. And just sort of he set such a great bar. Also he's such an incredible actor that it sort of just set a really good bar for everything and for what he was striving for.

. . . My first reaction to this rather lavish praise of Tobias was that it fits a narrative the Main Heroine has been presenting publicly for quite some time now: that filming Season 1 with Tobias was this beautiful, enlightening, sun-drenched experience, complete with scenic drives through the Highlands in vintage cars. Then came filming with Sam. Cue the biblical rainfall.

After weeks of beautiful, sunny weather during filming with Tobias, the first day of shooting with Sam was a real downpour. And it just kept on raining, a real deluge. It just didn’t stop bloody raining.

I don't think this story is really about the weather. I don't question Scotland's rain. Or Tobias's professionalism. Or the charm of vintage cars.

What I question is the ongoing insistence that nothing life-changing happened during those months once filming shifted from Tobias to Sam. Because I believe something did. She hopelessly in love. Not with Tobias. With Sam.

That's why I find the whole Tobias anecdote genuinely sad.

The Main Character wears his metaphorical chains around his neck, on his wrists, and on his fingers (and occasionally slung over his shoulder whenever the #PurseHolder function kicks in). The Main Heroine wears hers in her mind. I don't see two villains here. I see two people imprisoned in different ways by the same (love)story. Perhaps that's why I can't help but feel for both of them.

Yesterday's Instagram Story from SRH turned out to be more interesting than it first appeared:

. . . The collage — showing the Protagonists in one of their last fleeting moments of happiness before their world comes crashing down, with Karolina Wydra quietly lurking in the background — links to an article by Reshma Gopaldas published yesterday (July 7, 2026).

. . . I have to admit, I'm struggling to understand exactly what Reshma is trying to argue. On the one hand, she points out that both CMB and SRH have been consistently overlooked by Emmy voters throughout Outlander's run. On the other, the article devotes considerably more attention to CMB's body of work, ultimately presenting her as the performer most deserving of long-overdue Emmy recognition.

Then there's this line:

"And Balfe’s performance in the series finale will take your breath away. (It literally took Heughan’s breath away. His character was dead for most of the last 20 minutes of the episode). "

I'm sorry, but that's not wit. It's an attempt at cleverness that comes across as unnecessarily dismissive. I've had the impression for quite some time that Reshma doesn't simply dislike SRH — she seems almost allergic to acknowledging his contribution. What she also fails to acknowledge is, in my view, one of the defining strengths of Outlander: CMB is as extraordinary as she is because she's acting opposite SRH. That may not be the most popular opinion, but it's one I've held for years. To me, every other performance CMB has given — from Ford v Ferrari to Belfast — feels like an echo of Claire rather than a reinvention of herself. Nowhere else does she shine quite as brilliantly, because nowhere else does she have a scene partner who draws out the very best in her. I suspect Reshma understands that perfectly well. She simply chooses not to write about it.

And perhaps the greatest irony is this: the article that celebrates the Main Heroine while taking an unnecessary swipe at the Main Character wasn't shared by CMB. It was shared by SRH.

Somehow... it all stayed in the family. A little sad, if you ask me.

Due to more videos and pictures being released with S and his ambassadorship with the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, I decided to reignite my search for any details on when this content was filmed. It’s been driving me slightly crazy, but I’m here to tell you - I have succeeded!

As a reminder, I detailed the first appearance of the infamous jean jacket in my ‘Ride the Gallo-way’ post.

We first got the video of Sam in Glasgow talking to Bulgarian fans about Graham and Clanlands on June 19th.

From Graham’s Instagram we know the event was on the same day and perhaps I should have done more diligence the first time around to notice this date.

Then on Monday, June 22nd we got the first post from S about his new DJ venture at the Para Powerlifting event which is scheduled to take place on July 24th.

So common sense would suggest that the all of this content was created sometime between these dates or slightly before. Unless of course S decided to wear the same outfit more than once and record over the course of a few days. He did not. We know the weekend is out due to the infamous motorcycle ride. And filming all of this on the Friday before, would be a super tight schedule.

But before I go any further let’s clear up some loose ends.

On the same Friday, MN posted an Instagram Story that he was at Laboratorio Espresso. In the Bulgarian fan video S is featured across the street from The Hair Club in Glasgow which is about a 10 minute drive or 15 minute walk away.

However, I’m not sure if MN’s story was a latergram or in real time, and I doubt we’ll ever know but S was not across from The Hair Club on the 19th - at least not in those clothes.

My main goal of this post was to find the location of the DJ video and I received some help from the Glasgow Times.

Glasgow Times: Sam Heughan confirmed as DJ for Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games event

As you can see in the bottom of this photo, the photographer is Craig Watson. He is a sports snd corporate photographer who - shockingly - has taken most of the promotional photos for the Glasgow Commonwealth Games. And on his portfolio website you can find a number of different galleries.

First, here is the DJ photo gallery slideshow which I have linked, as I will not post his watermarked and copyrighted photographs. The content itself however, was filmed at SíSí Rooftop Mexican Restaurant - which is actually a 14 minute walk away from Laboratorio Espresso and a 3 minute walk away from The Hair Club - just for those keeping track.

If you actually go to the official gallery aptly called ‘‪Sam Heughan DJ-ing’ you will see in the details that the photographs and video were taken on Thursday, June 18th. ‬

So what does all this mean? Originally I had all of this occurring on the Friday, but in hindsight with travel to Galloway etc. the timeline would have been too tight. But I was only a day early.

Her visits to Spain recently were nothing short of a secret, but here’s a little more explanation:

So, who's to blame this time?

Maybe it's time to stop pretending. Starz has never truly cared about awards or prestige. If they had, they would have invested in quality promotion, respected the cast and the audience, and actually campaigned for recognition.

What they cared about was making money.

Prestige? Apparently not.

And after all these years, that couldn't be more obvious.

SC were reduced to cash cows.

Season 4 didn't give us a lot to rewatch (looking at you, episode 7), so I'll take what pleasant moments I can find. Like this one right here.

As lip reading goes, this one's pretty straightforward. He's facing the camera full-on. Whether lip reading is your thing or not, it's readily apparent that he's said something to both his and Cait's delight. They're both tickled by it.

And who wouldn't be? What he said was:

"... home to get laid."

Yep. Plain as day, even with the pixellation from zooming in. Go back to the first gif. He says it.

One more thing:

See how his chin is dipped down when he says these deliciously naughty words? That can only mean he's dropped his voice down a notch.

He's talking sexy, y'all.

This is Sam and Cait, not Jamie and Claire. Sam and Cait know where the camera is; Jamie and Claire are characters in the 18th century... no cameras.

We have seen this between SC multiple times (quite recently one of them) but we are dellusionals. Yeah! MY FOOT.

​If you had seen the video I posted of Millie Bobby Brown, you’d realize it’s the exact same attitude she has toward her husband. That is what’s truly important here, not whether she is angry or not.
