what some people are failing to realize is, if taylor swift, one of the world’s biggest superstars, is being forced to deal with these kind of problems, then can you just imagine what’s happening to other artists? if taylor swift’s “temper tantrum” is going to put a stop to money-hungry men who like to take advantage of people’s careers, then... taylor swift, please continue your temper tantrum!

It’s very telling to me though that since Taylor said what she did the only people who have felt a need to get defensive are those close to Scooter, not Taylor. Of course her friends have shown their support, but none of them have gone to such lengths as Justin and Scooter’s wife who are pretty much only victim blaming and trying to paint Taylor as nothing but a dramatic liar. If they wholeheartedly believed Scooter did nothing wrong, why would they feel such a deep need to “expose” Taylor like this?

I just cannot believe the words “temper tantrum” were used to describe Taylor’s post.......that’s such a slap in the face I’m in disbelief. Taylor posted an extremely rational, well written, thought out post that was completely justified. I’m sick of women being called over emotional and childish for sticking up for themselves. I’m proud of you @taylorswift. You continue to inspire me every day.

Unsurprising but still upsetting that this whole thing was originally about Taylor defending artists’ right to their own work, Taylor explaining the betrayal and the complete exploitation by two men — one whose greed made him turn his back on his first client who is the reason he has the status he has, and one who had no reason to buy her music (since he’s constantly tormented her) other than out of spite—, the fact that she begged for the chance to buy it and wasn’t given it when it was HER blood sweat tears and literal heart poured from pen to paper for the last half of her life that was in these masters, and instead the people trying to come for her have minimized this all into some kind of “Taylor Swift, why are you being mean?” bullshit. Imagine if people just let women stand up for themselves.
