i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again but it’ll never stop being inspiring how taylor was a teenage girl and she said you know what? actually i DO want to be a princess and i DO want a magical first date and first kiss and i AM angry at the way you’re treating me and maybe i HAVE fallen for your cruelty before but i won’t again. she said all that and we all listened and danced to it alone in our rooms and sang it out with our friends in the car and cried to it when we got our hearts broken and when she became the youngest aoty winner for showing all her emotions with zero shame, she showed all of us that we could succeed while being young women who were girly and dramatic and emotional too.

Hey American folks who are old enough: please vote. It may not seem too important to some of you for various reasons but it genuinely is. No excuses, folks. You need this.

Please vote. We can’t change things if we don’t even try. Sure, a single vote by itself might seem like it won’t mean much, but in the same way a downpour of raindrops can create floods, we can do the same.

And for those of you saying voting will change nothing and more direct action of some sort is needed: consider the power of doing both. This is not an either/or proposition.
