N'Jadaka, Son of N'Jobu

jason’s brow dipped as his gaze hovered around the city, eyes trailing up and down the tall buildings which were taller then the ones he’d seen in gotham. somewhere along the tour they’d been led on, jason had splintered off on his own, finding it better to do some of his own exploring. as he traveled down the sidewalks of the impressive city he noted that footsteps were not too far behind. he paid it no mind at first, accrediting it to someone just passing by, but after a few turns around the corner they persisted. lips pulling into a hint of smirk, he pivoted to face whoever had been trailing him, hand instinctively reaching towards his belt to grip his gun. “are you lost or somethen’?” he asked with his eyes narrowed and hand hovering above his belt. 

Erik was half listening to the tour guide, half observing some of the others on the tour with him. One young man who’d somewhat caught his interest had really done so when he split off. Killmonger followed him into an alleyway where the other turned to face him. “I could ask you the same thing. You seemed like you were on to something a lil’  more interesting than the tour, wanted to see what.” His brows quirked when he saw the other’s hand at his hip. “I wouldn’t try that if I were you, Cowboy.”

what are you doing here pete? he kept telling himself. then it would be followed by, aunt may is gonna kill me but that was an afterthought now. he knew of Wakanda thanks to the avengers but he never imagined he’d actually be standing in it. “do you think they have flying cars here?” he doesn’t realize he’s just uttered it aloud until someone gives him a funny look and his cheeks go red with embarrassment. “what! they could i mean t—they have those!” his finger points to the large structures. “so, like, they could!”

Erik isn’t sure if he heard the kid right at first. He quirked an eyebrow and then he started to defend his statement. He laughs a little bit at the spastic boy in front of him. “This ain’t Back to the Future’ or some shit, kid. Pretty sure they got better things to worry about with this Thanos dude on the way.” He pauses for a moment before his shoulders shrug. “The cars are bulletproof, though. And they do have hoverbikes, so who knows? They just might.”

SHE’S  IMPRESSED  to  say  the  least   .   mj’s  never  seen  a  city  quite  like  birnin  zana  and  quite  frankly   ,   she’s  in  awe   .   ❛   can  you  believe  that  they’ve  kept  this  place  a  secret  for  years   ?   ❜   she  says  to  no  one  in  particular   ,   just  over  her  shoulder   .   warm  chocolate  eyes  are  still  caught  up  in  the  beauty  of  the  city   .   ❛   talk  about  an  advanced  society   .   ❜

Erik is making his way back to the living quarters provided for him when he hears the young woman’s thoughts. “Crazy ain’t it?” He muses, taking a sip of the water bottle he was carrying. “How they were just lyin’ to the world the whole time, hidin’ in plain sight?”

kori’s head swivels from left to right as she takes in the breathtaking sight of a nation she did not know the existence of until now. she hears whispers of a missing king and wonders what it all means and why exactly she is here. the last she remembers is catching word of a threat comings towards earth and then being with jason as they watched the broadcast of a man named T’Challa inviting heroes, and anyone else willing to help to the nation of Wakanda. she turns to the person nearest to her with her eyes still wide. “this is beautiful,” she whispers. “i have never seen anything like this.” 

Erik is caught a bit off guard by the voice of a woman next to him. Not a Wakandan, but... not quite American either if he had to guess. His eyes followed hers up to the buildings. It’s the first time since he’s come to Wakanda that he’s actually gotten the chance to look around the capital city. He offers a small smile. “You’re right, it really is. My father had told me stories, but...” his dreads swayed as he shook his head, “they definitely didn’t do it justice.”
