Middle beginning of May and I’m laying here thinking I’m having a bit of a surreal moment. I know this happens sometimes, like looking back at time but sometimes it just hits you in a way that is more solar plexus-y than just being like oh yeah I went to school with them 15 years ago. I think it’s more the resurfacing of the feelings attached to that moment and that time and not knowing back then how to label it.

All this perpetuated by a random name on a suggested friend list.

I’ve really come to despise social media. I used to joke about it for the last 6-8 years but now it doesn’t seem to have any redeeming qualities from a maintaining any sort of friendship aspect. Why did I ever think this was a good way to keep in touch with people? The sustainable friendships are the ones that we still talk on other platforms.
