Hi, everyone. To break it down simply, my mom, sis and I have been hotel hopping since May of this year. My mom's bank ended her account with them and she can't get the money out that she has in it until she steps up a new account but she can't do that without an ID. The reason for her not having an ID is because it was stolen and it's taking longer than expected for her to receive a new one. Up until last week, my mom has had a friend pay for every hotel we've stayed in because he owed my mom back for selling him her house. She wasn't able to receive much from it because the house was under foreclosure so the man who bought it had to pay for all of that. We've been so grateful for him helping us out this whole time but for reasons unknown, he refuses to respond back to any of our calls and text messages. We've even had friends call him and he answers for them but not for us. My sister has been able to stay with a friend for the past two weeks and she can stay with them until we're able to find a permanent home so for now, it's just my mom and I traveling to different hotels. However, we're about 30 to 40 minutes from any of our friends and I've already asked them if I could stay with them for a little while but their parents said no. The same situation goes for my mom with her friends. We've spent the last of our money for one of the nights at this hotel which was \$230.00 and the rest on food and drinks. We have no money to our names to be able to get us a cab or an uber to anywhere and so I'm currently typing this in the hotel lobby since we had to check out. The hotel will only allow us to stay in here until 10pm tonight, then we're going to have to move out luggage's to the streets and stay there since we have no other place to go and no ride at all. I currently have a job but my only one to get there would be the bus but I've run out of money and it would take me two hours to get there if I did have it so I've had no choice but to give my shifts away and miss work so I can't expect much or any money at all the next time I'm supposed to get paid. When I told a few friends about my situation, they told me to make this fundraiser but I didn't think my situation was that urgent but now I've found myself desperate and all out of ideas now. I don't know if this will help at all but even if you only have a dollar, it would help a lot. Every single dollar or even a quarter counts, right? I feel so apologetic to do this because I know others who have made this kind of thing have it worse than me but the image of my mom and I living on the streets terrifies me.
