Turkish Plates.

The Hagia Sofia (Ayasofya in Turkish) was once a church, then a mosque, and finally turned into a museum in 1935 by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the first president of the Republic of Turkey. It has been rebuilt three times (since it’s initial construction in 360 by Emperor Konstantios. 

The Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet Camii in Turkish), was commissioned by Sultan Ahmet I when he was only 19 years old. The construction initiated in 1609 and was completed in 1616. The mosque is representative of the Sunni Islam religion, and is one of three mosques in all of Turkey to consist of six minarets. 

Sometimes we forget that everybody has a life of there own. In today’s society our surroundings disconnect us from our true humanity and now more than ever we isolate the people that most need us.
