He poked it again, before standing up.
“Right. Beep back at ya, think ‘m gonna…uh, go, now.”

It shook its head back and forth as if waving goodbye, before deciding to return to patrolling.

It proceeded to attempt to tell him that it was in fact okay and did not need an Engineer. Nod, headshake.

"Alright… " He thought he understood. nodding s he took a seat next to the sentry.
"Whaddaya doin’ all alone?"
"Beep beep beep. Beeeep beep."
That was its explanation of having a very intelligent, yet very forgetful Engineer. Of course, the other probably couldn't understand, but the sentry carried on, forgetting that it couldn't speak english.
"Beep?"
The wee sentry stared back up at the… Sniper, it assumed.
"Naw, dat ain’t creepy, one bit."
He knelt down, eyebrow perked up as he poked the sentry.
The sentry clicked when the merc poked it.
"Beeeeeep."
"Beeeeeep."
The sentry made a circular motion as if rolling eyes.
"You okay? Need me t’find Engi?"
It proceeded to attempt to tell him that it was in fact okay and did not need an Engineer. Nod, headshake.
"Beep beep."
The little machine stared up at the Scout.
"Beep?"
"Uh.. Boop?"
"Beeeeeep."
The sentry made a circular motion as if rolling eyes.

The little machine stared up at the Scout.
"Beep?"

The wee sentry stared back up at the... Sniper, it assumed.
And the sentry did in fact survey its new surroundings. Anyone’d be happy to move to a different spot after being stuck in the same one for hours on end. Days on end, even, if the sentry stayed up that long.
The little gun beeped out a little tune as the two of them walked. A typical song one would hear, such as the railroad, or jingle bells, or some other small short ditty everyone knew by heart.
Binh was enjoying the late evening weather, taking a moment to close his eyes while listening to the sentry… could it be called “whistling”? Certainly close enough if the thing had no mouth.
He pitched in after awhile; steps slowed and rose with the makeshift beat they’ve created, giving the walk an old cartoon feel. Anyone watching probably had to do a double-take.
Had the sentry the ability to speak, it would have tried singing along as well, but it only had clicks and beeps at its disposal, a language not that many others understood. Engineers sometimes and other sentries, but not that many others.
It continued to hum along to the song, contented with the walk. It didn't really realize how heavy it was, but it could have weighed more had it a full round of ammo in its top.
"Sentry?" A now human Scarlett asked, looking around for her mechanical friend.
"Beep?"
The sentry curiously made noise at the Sniper.
Scarlett took out the laser attachment from her rifle and pointed it to the ground, showing the clear red dot. “Try following that.”
And so the wee sentry did; firing a shot at the red dot. The dot didn’t disappear, and the sentry understood that because it knew how lasers worked. Sort of. It knew they were spots of light and not actual objects.
Scarlett giggled slightly, it was almost like she was playing with a cat, or puppy. “This will pinpoint your accuracy, that way you can kill more efficiently!”
"Beep beep!"
More efficiency = less bullets used = more ammo left = more kills. Made sense to the little machine.
The little sentry beeped in alarm; it’d never seen a bird splice before. It was also unsure as to what a Medic would want with it.
*jumps back and flares her wings*
Whoa!
…Wait, you’re not shootin’?
"Beep."
The bot shook its head. It wasn’t hostile unless shown hostility.
…Oh, okay.
*walks closer and sits down*
Well, this is first time I’ve ever not needed ta fear a RED Sentry.
"Beep beep."
It just now took notice that the other happened to be wearing a BLU outfit. It'd been too distracted by the wings.

"Not really huh…" She thought for a while, "I might have an idea of how to improve your aim if you’d like."
Aim? The sentry thought its aim was fine; it only needed to shoot people within a certain range…
