Aching to be powerless

My friend G and I are playing our sensory deprivation game.  It starts with me putting him into inescapable restraint with sight and sound removed.  He must float around in bondage for no less than two hours.  When he finally gets bored, he gives the signal.  If the signal occurs before the goal time, I add 15 minutes.  After floating in bondage, it is hard to tell the difference between 5 minutes and 10, much less whether 2 hours has passed or only 45 minutes…

You never tell him how much time he has left, or how much time has passed.

Once he has passed the total 2 hours, plus any penalties, AND he gives the signal, I edge him for a while and get him off.  I note the exact time he gets off as the new goal time.

Then it is my turn, same-set up, but instead of starting with two hours, I start with the new goal time.  I still have to “give the signal” but if I don’t wait long enough, he will extend my sentence.  If I wait too long, then I’ll extend my own sentence.
