Normally, I wouldn’t be this picky about the representation of a book character, but as someone who’s be made fun of A LOT for having an alt style, it hurts to see that what is a coping system for many people (not saying it is for her, but it doesn’t seem far fetched); fashion, is being diluted to make her more digestible. When Libby changes her image to please Alisa, she dyes her hair AND drastically changes her fashion, and that is what I feel is happening here. Again, normally, I wouldn’t care, but being goth is such an important part of her character, and it’s so common for alternative or “weird” traits/characters to be adapted so people are able to see someone they relate to. Alt characters are frequently changed or dumbed down to niche one trait (for Libby, it’s often her hair/liking black) so instead of having interests that are weird and creepy, they are just quirky and different while still being societally acceptable. She IS weird and she IS creepy. That’s not an insult.
You don’t have to agree with me but I ask that you at least consider it.

I wish we got more Alisa in the books. She’s very much on the periphery of the story, but she has the potential to have a bigger role since she’s Avery’s lawyer and she’s an interesting character. Not just because of Nash but because of her proximity to the family, her relationship with the old man, the way that she follows in her father’s footsteps. Alisa has so much to be explored and leaving her outside of the main plot has kind of reduced her to little more than competition for Nash (in the eyes of the fandom). Justice for Alisa.
In summer, she wouldn’t give up her pants, but she’d switch to a sleeveless top. Again, I picture something fitted, solid-colored, with no writing — nothing messy.
٭ 𝐸𝑉𝐸𝑁𝑇𝑆
I picture her choosing long, form-fitting dresses with clean, structured lines. She gravitates toward silhouettes that highlight her figure without feeling flashy — something sleek, minimal, and confident. I can especially see her opting for open-back designs. They’re sophisticated and bold but in a controlled way.

Even though she usually wears her hair up, I can see her letting it down in more informal settings. Her natural hair is much curlier and more unruly than this, but after the breakup with Nash she started straightening it. Still, whenever she wears it down, I imagine she uses a flat iron to give the ends a soft wave.

When she’s at home, she wears a more comfortable version of her usual outfits. Still pants — this time sweatpants — and on top I picture her in a cardigan, or a simple tank top with a cardigan over it that she can take off if she gets too warm. And she keeps her jewelry on even at home. I see her as the kind of person who doesn’t like taking off her earrings, necklaces, or bracelets — she might even have a set she wears exclusively around the house. Even if no one sees her, she still needs to feel put-together.
For sleepwear, she’d go for either a robe or a matching button-down top with night pants.

When she was dating Nash, her outfits were noticeably more relaxed, but still very her, idk how to say. I imagine her wearing jeans instead of tailored trousers — the same subtle silhouette she prefers now, slightly fitted at the top and gradually wider toward the bottom, but with a lower rise and a more 90s feel. She paired them with tight, simple tops, nothing messy or oversized. Sometimes, I think she also wore skirts — long and minimal ones still. Of course, always wearing heels. It echoes the style she has today, because that shape genuinely suits her and keeps her essence intact, but those outfits were much less rigid and allowed a softer, more effortless version of herself to come through.

Obviously this iconic combo. Alisa is described wearing paintsuits and tailleur, also in her card we can see her wearing a blazer and high-waisted tailored trousers.
The trousers are obviously tailored— nothing overly wide, but not tight either. More like a subtle tapered cut: they start slightly slimmer at the top and loosen just a bit toward the bottom, without ever becoming flared. As for the top, I imagine she would choose blouses, never loose or messy, always perfectly fitted and immaculate, something that communicates professionalism and composure. Alternatively, I can also see her wearing very simple, monochrome fitted tops. Nothing oversized, nothing sloppy.
