Turn Left is for me, without any doubt, the best episode of dw ever: no Doctor, an alternate dimension created by just a tiny seemingly unimportant shift, Donna sassing the hell out of everybody, two companions meeting and helping each other and saving the universe in the process, Rose encouraging Donna to believe in herself, Rose speaking the most beautiful wisest words about how ordinary people are brilliant and how the Doctor touches the lives of others, a world descending into chaos and social injustice, Donna’s family and the refugees, Wilf wanting to sell his old telescope and Donna being simply outraged at the idea, Rose caressing the lifeless TARDIS and it humming faintly in response, Donna’s terror when she sees the thing on her back, the Bad Wolf final cliffhanger… the performances are beyond exceptional and the theme and social commentary behind it is just flawless 

I feel like we don’t appreciate enough the Gift to the World™ that was Doctor Who series four. Like, Catherine Tate and David Tennant really ran across the universe and sassed each other for a whole season huh? Gosh, absolutely brilliant, we were blessed

I need a fic where the Doctor and Donna get so utterly and completely sloshed they decide to go through Donna’s hat collection
