Something my dear friend said to me that i think fits
also, its sister tweet:
How could you forget:
Had to add this gem
Pouring one out for Poison Junior.
“you wanna know how i this insane?”
the joker
are you serious?
hi! I was wondering if you knew of any resources (or even just search terms, I'm not sure where to start) relating specifically to Black experiences in the UK? I'm not atm creating any characters but rather just looking to better understand other people in my local community, and a lot of the resources I've been able to find online are either USAmerican focussed or older (which neither is inherently a bad thing, just I'd like to be able to find more relevant resources)
Searched it up online and found this HUGE website full of history, culture, and current and articles made by Black people in the UK, about Black people in the UK. There's so much here, it is an impressive collection actually. I would recommend everyone who lives in the UK who actually wants to care about their Black neighbors to keep an eye on this one!

some kind of yucky mold
ewwwww
oh my god?
Bosses and Coworkers: you've got a great work ethic, going above and beyond
Me: I am literally just doing my job. Everyone else is slacking off.
Everyone Else: (magically knows somehow the secret amounts of work the boss is actually asking of them, which the boss cannot tell anyone for Reasons)
There always seems to be a gap in instructions (from bosses, parents, teachers, friends, whoever) between 'required' and 'expected', and this gap is:
invisible
never explained
always a different size
you have to guess the size
if you guess wrong you either get Praised or In Trouble
At least on 'the price is right' you know (because someone *actually told you*) that you are playing a guessing game and that there is an over/under mechanic and that the conquence of guessing wrong isn't a punishment or damaged relationship or getting fired
On an unrelated note my psychiatrist has given me a referal for a formal ASD evaluation
This post is about the neurodivergent frustration of having to deal with neurotypical authority figures who don't say what they mean but I love the pro-union labor-rights energy I'm seeing in the notes

it's baffling to still see people be like "you can convince white conservatives to like socialism if you don't use buzzwords! and then work on racism later" in the united states. like yeah, it probably is really easy to convince people that having things is good. how are you going to convince them that the people they hate having things isn't a problem?
#any analysis of class issues in the us that doesn't take anti-black racism into account is a fairy tale#if you haven't come around to the fact that republicans hate black people more than they love god i don't know what to tell you
republicans hate black/brown/poor people with the white hot intensity of 10,000 suns
we are NEVER going to advance, make any progress, or get anything nice like other countries until white people actively dismantle racism. it's just never going to happen.
