With the Chiss being a fascination of mine I did a little tweaking with their design (some future info on that coming through soon), and this is a showcase of that!

I have a suspicion that the Empire would roll-out some very surface level recruiting using the face of the Grand Admiral.

My name is Morgz (they/them), and this is my neat little sequester of Tumblr where I post fanart, random things, and most importantly pieces of my own stories! I'm an avid Arcane, Star Wars, and Warhammer 40k fan, with a few side projects, OCs, and stories taking place in these universes proper. MAIN PROJECT: (As of 7/28/2026)

Right now I'm working on my independent comic taking place in the Star Wars universe.

While of course this is being done for fun, and is very much so "me learning to draw as I go" it's something I'm wildly passionate about!

The story, as it's called now, is "The Rex Saga" but the first 'segment' of it, if you'd like, is called "Ardale" after the titular character.

"Ardale" follows after ISB Assistant Ardale during his early days in the Empire. I've wanted to tell a story from within the Empire for years, showcasing the evil of it, and the minutia, much akin to Andor.

This story, I hope, will tell that in spades and will be something that loads of people can enjoy, especially those who enjoy "Heir to the Empire" and "Thrawn" by Timothy Zahn.

What to Expect:

I aim to start posting concept art, some rambles about the story, and eventually the actual pages of the comic itself. I have had to fill in a lot of otherwise empty spaces about the Empire (don't get me started on how the ranking system works), some cultural aspects of the universe, and most especially a species that I've made very nearly from the ground up. I'm most excited to show that, but also to, in the words of Matt Rhodes:

"Tell a good story."

Make no mistake: This is a passion project. Not only for legal reasons, but for personal reasons, this is something I'm doing for fun. Every awkward line, every learned technique, and every silly little thing that I'm going to have to overcome and learn: it's for fun.

It's surely meant to be a bit like a plague mask of some type, blocking diseases from being coughed up on their faces? Or it's to prevent them from being "targeted" outside their "work", so they stay faceless and nameless to the public at times?

No matter, I always enjoy any characterization of how others write/approach his mask. My personal is he's fine with others seeing his face, but he gets a bit of a kick out of seeing others bend over backwards and make a big deal out of it. He would tease them about how much they are willing to do just to see it like a reward. Eventually he might show them if they prove themselves worthy. He will also lift it with ease and no big flashy deal. The kicker is he hates leaving it off for too long. He's surprisingly expressive and he's used to people trying to deduce from his body language and words what he really means, that he forgets how easily he gives himself away with his face.

Part of an idea that I had a bit ago: dear ole Vader has long since learned the moral complexities... Of knocking.

Bounty hunter Fett is equally unamused.
