For this post I would like some peer feedback! I have not started my final What is Content Reflecting on Learning Essay yet, and have a few questions. As this project is in an interview setup, are you using a professional, casual, or a mix of both for your writing style? Since it is an interview, you want to come off as professional yet relatable/likable, so I was leaning toward using a mix of both of them. Any other tips on the writing style to use for this project are much appreciated!

What I liked most about my learning through this course is that I expanded my knowledge of different social media platforms and how their community interacts with each other. Before this course, I never had an account on tumblr, so posting on this site was very new for me! However, I really like how tumblr is set up and all the customization options available. I had no idea how creative tumblr could be and how there are so many different ways and formats to stylize your post.

The part of my writing process that I am most proud of is my revision process! This class has really challenged me to, first create a revision process/plan, and then follow through on it. In the past, I have not had a uniform revision system, just looking over and re-reading my work before I submitted. With this course, I have been able to create steps for a proper revision, and have found that it really helps improve the quality of my work! I catch a lot more mistakes now, but on top of that, I am able to make adjustments that I would not have thought to do previously. By incorporating the feedback I get into my next draft, my projects keep getting better.

This is one of my angry fan responses for my Design Project. I am planning on revising the responses for my final submission, and would like feedback! I am going to try to show more about the show in the tweets that I have created and am not completely sure how to do so. Again, I want to add more details about Favorite Show to give the tweets more personality and develop more of the feel of the community. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to show this through the tweets? Also, I am having major problems with using the hashtags! 🙈 Looking through the examples that are already posted on tumblr has given me ideas but if anyone has any specific tips or ideas on what I can do to improve on this aspect of my project I greatly appreciate it!

One of my favorite television shows of all time is Parks and Recreation. I absolutely love that show, and (given I was watching it as it aired, which I did not), I would have been incredibly upset had the characters not gotten the proper ending they deserved. I think that the series was very good throughout, and I am grateful that it was able to continue the story until the end. I completely understand how a group of fans can be angered over the cancellation of their favorite show, especially if the show did not even get the chance to reach its full potential, which usually does not happen within the first season or first few pilot episodes. Oftentimes, shows are canceled before the storyline can even be established, which promotes shows that have action from the very start. However, most great stories do not start with action, and deserve the chance to have that slow build up in order to create drama and even more background.

One of my experiences of being a fan of a show that got canceled was with the show I Am Not Okay With This. The show came out on Netflix in early 2020, just before the pandemic became widespread across America. It was based on a graphic novel that had gained some popularity in recent years. There have been a large number of shows that were very good adaptations from their comic/graphic novel form, and it seems like the majority of shows that come from this source are canceled too soon. I Am Not Okay With This had the same feel (to me) as the show Stranger Things, which I had also watched on Netflix. After seeing the previews/trailers for the show it seemed to me like a good coming of age story that also was able to include supernatural elements. After watching the first season, I was hooked and fully invested in the story and characters, not to mention the extreme cliffhanger that the last episode ended on. To hear that this show was not coming back, and there would be no season two or any real end to the story in the form of television, I was very disheartened, but went on to read and learn more about the story through the original graphic novels.

I think that a style rule I would write for creating a TikTok video would be to keep it short and funny. I am (admittedly) a frequent TikTok user/scroller and most of the videos I enjoy are intentionally comedy videos or videos that come off as funny unintentionally. Both types of videos tend to show up on my For You Page, and lots of them have gone viral/had millions of likes and even more views. Tiktok is a very unique space where short, funny videos do well, almost the same way as the now shutdown social media space Vine did. While Vine had a maximum video length of less than ten seconds, TikTok videos are able to be much longer, but I have noticed that shorter videos are more popular.
