Odysseus' scar origin story

I always imagined DemiGods would have some sort of uncanny valley about them.

Gods do look a lot like humans but there's always something special about them, so imagining their kids with humans looking quite like human but there would be something about them that would force you to keep looking at them because they don't look perfectly like humans but they also do so you cannot find what's off so anytime they are in the room you cannot help it but stare.

I like to think that Odysseus and Diomedes don't get together immediately but around halfway into the Trojan war after they've really gotten to know one another. And when it starts they initially keep it more private not because of internalised prejudice but because Odysseus has spent the last five years making fun of Achilles and his relationship with Patroclus and he refuses to back down at this point. Which is easy enough because they can justify all their meetups as "strategy sessions" (can't tell if Athena would be pleased at his deception or annoyed because he should actually be strategizing).

All goes well until one night while Achilles is doing errands or something he walks by the Argos camp and sees Odysseus leaving Diomedes's tent clearly tired and flustered. And then it goes down exactly like that one scene in SpongeBob when he catches Squidward eating Krabby Patties:

"You like Diomedes, don't you Odysseus"
