Feeling like a painting in this Galadriel shot! The light catching all the metalwork on the assuit and the glint of the pearls brings me so much joy!

This costume was a Journey and one of the most beautiful things I have ever made.

Making this feels like both yesterday and five years ago. I still cannot get over the beauty of assuit and what an absolutely fascinating textile it is, and what a gift it was to be able to repurpose 100 year old fabric.

It was a kinda wild six months going back and forth with @woodsmokeandwords as we hyped each other up and commiserated over many many failed dyeing attempts—but in the end being able to cosplay together was absolutely magical. I really hope I can visit them in the UK sometime and do some location Rings of Power photos!
