Tsunagu ends up continuing his travels with baby Shinya in tow, the small dragon perching on his shoulders while they travel the wilds and roads, but hiding in his bag when they visit towns and villages. He feeds the little thing meat until Shinya can hunt small creatures on his own, and he makes sure to keep Shinya close at night to keep him warm. (Shinya's his living teddy bear, lol)

As Shinya gets older and bigger, he becomes less dependent on Tsunagu and increasingly more possessive of him. He stops hiding and instead clings to Tsunagu's back, occasionally snapping at people who get too close or look at them weirdly, or walking beside Tsunagu like a well-trained hound. When he gets too big to stay by Tsunagu's side, he begrudgingly stays in the forest outside of town and diligently waits for Tsunagu's return, becoming quite grumpy if Tsunagu stays at the inn for that night. He hates it when Tsunagu goes to town or even just leaves his side for any amount of time.
