a couple of days ago i found a mysterious motivation to finally gouache the sketch i made of this idea ages ago. it wasn't without struggle though, because the page started to warp (i'm not an expert at this) so i had to spray it down after it was done and let it be pressed flat for a few days, unsure if i just ruined the whole thing. thankfully it came out the same as it was before, just flattened! so i took a nice lil' scan of it.

I put this piece through a few more passes for the prompt today. This one was loosely inspired by the opening scene of Grave of the Fireflies, a film (based on a book) about the consequences of war on children.

get it? Snail + deathclaw? god im funny... so i am currently struggling with Artist's block and that has caused some commissions to backlog... Here's my failed attempt at forcing myself out of it!!
