The work originally came from the Villa of Publius Fannius Sinistor in Boscoreale, near Pompeii, and dates from approximately 43–30 BC.
The fresco is currently part of the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

Este fresco romano representa el Segundo Estilo de la pintura mural pompeyana, caracterizado por ilusiones arquitectónicas.
La obra proviene originalmente de la Villa de Publio Fannio Sinistor en Boscoreale, cerca de Pompeya, datada aproximadamente entre 43-30 a.C.
Actualmente, el fresco forma parte de la colección del Museo Metropolitano de Arte de New York.
