This scene absolutely killed me like I have a love and hate relationship with Dazai but seeing him actually unalive himself was…. a direct hit in the kokoro. We normally just disregard it as satire because he makes it seem like a joke every time but what would happen if he was actually successful in the canon universe? I have no words to describe how I felt during this because his entire motive was to get Atsushi and Akutagawa to fight so they could realise each other’s potential and help each other out in the canon storyline but then seeing Dazai leap off the building after his job was done- I WAS GENUINELY DEPRESSED DAZAI NOOO 😭
