Fun story: I drew this shot from the Dream BBQ trailer a few days ago and finishing it felt like an achievement, considering I still feel an art blockade and the last time I managed to make a fully colored and rendered digital piece was over a month ago. In the moment of heightened relief after being done with the drawing, I wasn’t careful when I clicked to export it - and suddenly the screen said “deleting” and then a checkmark. It was gone! Poof!! Procreate doesn’t have a recycle bin! And I hadn’t exported any part of the process! It’s like it never happened! That sure was frustrating! Technically I valued the process first and foremost, the result was a bonus, as always. So I went to bed accepting that this mistake happened and moved on. Until I woke up and realized I don‘t like the feeling of having that drawing in my memory but no physical evidence of its (former) existence. So I drew it again!! Yes, this drawing that you‘re seeing in the post is my SECOND drawing! Thank Bill Cipher it had just been a screenshot redraw which made it much easier to redo thanks to the reference!! It could have been much worse if the motif, too, only existed in my head for example. Thanks for reading this unnecessarily detailed rant, have a nice day!!!

Doodle like it’s a dance! Instead of working towards something specific, I just listened to music and let it guide my flow, rhythm, color choice and drawing pace without caring if it would look good or if it‘s even consistent with my usual style, so that I could losen up and focus on the moment. (This time, I happened to be listening to some songs by Kikou)
