I did a thing today. I’ve had a small tattoo I’ve wanted covered for a LONG time and I’d saved and planned and the day arrived. Stage One is complete. Color will be added soon. @mrartistpainterman is the artist that designed and tattooed this beautiful tree and I cannot wait to show off the finished product. This guy is good, y’all. @sacred_soul_collective is a beautiful studio and the artists are super nice and it was a great experience. I recently finished a custom order for some paper bead earrings. These were a special gift for special friends as bridesmaids in a wedding. Y’all wanna hear something gross I did for art? Lulu ate a cicada and barfed it. on the floor. The big wings were perfectly intact so I used my jewelry tweezers to pull them out of the puke. They are had a nice soak in some warm water with dish soap and now air drying. These guys will probably become earrings. Two new items up in the shop FINALLY. This time off has afforded me more time to be creative, finish things I started some time ago and get items ready for the shop. These are the first two. I have more moons in the process of being cleaned up and given a chain. Some of the pieces I started over the winter had some patina issues even though I sealed them, so I’ve re-patina’d, gave them a better sealant, finding chains and leather for the larger pieces. Today I went out to clean up a long neglected flower bed and met this guy. He got a quick photo shoot then I said bye. Came back later after watering and he was poking his head out of his hidey hole. This bed may stay neglected. I know he’s (or she, whatever) harmless and beneficial. I don’t spray chemicals so he can safely live there.
