The Problem Of The Fan Hate
I've seen the new Masters Of The Universe and it was amazing! It really made me feel some nostalgia of the 80's original show as well as made me feel new excitement for the show. The thing I can't stand is all the hate it is getting. Now, there's nothing wrong about not liking this show. There are people who give out their constructive criticism and concern for the show. The problem is that their voices are drowned out by the 'Hateful Fans' or what I like to call them 'One Million Fans' (based on the One Million Moms organisation)
Trying to find a review anywhere where it's a positive or a review saying that they just didn't care for it is like finding a Unicorn. Nothing but angry videos filled with hateful and disgusting comments. Everyone jumping on the hate bandwagon in desperation to get that extra view. People thinking that because they hate it, that they're a 'True Fan'. I haven't even seen a review done but a respectful reviewer yet. Probably scared of the backlash of these 'fans'. Which is extremely sad and frustrating. That these grown ass people are acting like a child, throwing the wildest of tantrums.
Most of their reasons for hating the show is:
"They lied to us with the trailer!!" So did the Avengers: Infinity War. I didn't see you act out the same way.
"But He-Man is the main character!" So is Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars movies. But was he the lead in all the movies and shows? No. So what's your point?
"Teela looks like a man!" No she doesn't.
"Well, her muscles are unrealistic! I dated a fitness girl before so I should know!" And He-Man's muscles are not? Haven't you seen how different women look like in fitness? Teela is a fighter. Was so all her life. Not a jogger who goes to the gym for an hour every day.
"Well Kevin Smith said..." Oh my god! Leave the poor man alone. All you do is bash his name, make fun of him for crying when one of his closest friend, Stan Lee, passed away, criticize him and egg him on and act surprised when he speaks out against you.
And here is an actual quote from someone I talked to about Greyskull being black. I will omit their name because I don't want a witch trial to happen.
"It matters that Grayskull became black because it’s inconsistent with him being an ancestor of He-Man, AND it appears to be agenda driven because there was no reason to make him black in the first place, AND the reason Netflix proved for making him black was bigoted, racist, condescending and woke."
Bigoted, racist and condescending.... Are you sure you're not talking about yourself? And seriously what is the 'Horrible Agenda' they keep bringing up? They say it all the time yet refuse to actually say what horrible things it will do. Oh, and if you want to know, there is a FIVE HUNDRED YEAR GAP between Grayskull and Prince Adam. I had my DNA test and do you know who was my ancestor was 500 years ago? A Peruvian. Someone from Peru. I'm white, blond and blue eyed. By this idiot's logic I should look more South American.
You know what. These guys are the real cowards. They go off saying how much of a fan they are by hiding behind their true self. Because they know that if they truly said the real reason why they didn't like the show, it would be social suicide and they would never be taken seriously ever again.
Sorry for the rant, but it must be said.
